Jean Michel Guillon's Briliant 2010 Red Burgundies
I simply don’t know how to say this strongly enough. Anyone who loves great red Burgundy or the best, most deeply flavored, majestic, Pinot Noir from anywhere in the world needs to purchase as much of Jean-Michel Guillon’s 2010s as they can possibly afford. You’ve read and heard that 2010 is a great vintage in Burgundy (even better than 2009 in my opinion); Jean-Michel’s wines are some of the very best of the very best.
Below you'll find our selections of wines from this great winemaker and the outstanding 2010 vintage. Mix/match 12 bottles or more wines from this list to receive our best, case, pricing.
PLEASE READ THIS: Our web site isn't smart enough to handle the mixed six/twelve bottle pricing, so you won't see it showing up in your shopping card or on your website-generated confirmation email. Don't worry! We'll pull your wines and correct the pricing before your credit card is charged.

- Guillon Gevrey-Chambertin Pere Galland 2010 Product #26485 (In Stock)
Jean Michel makes several different Gevrey village cuvves, but this one – named for the man who helped Jean Michel learn to make wine – really grabbed us in 2010. Screams “Gevrey” with its earthy red fruit and note of dusty iron ore but still soft and open enough to give early pleasure. Excellent value.
"In contrast to the relatively expressive noses of the prior three wines, this is much more serious with brooding aromas of earth, wild red berries and a whiff of humus. There is excellent energy to the detailed and lightly mineral-suffused flavors that possess good ripeness to the structural elements where the finish again displays a wonderful sense of tension and energy."Allen Meadows 88-91 points
