Dr Loosen Dr L Riesling 2014 Product #29648 (In Stock)
Dr Loosen Dr L Riesling 2014 Dr Loosen Dr L Riesling 2014

Another fine vintage for one of Germany's best value - and most consistent - entry-level Rieslings.  As usual, rich and creamy with bright acidity underneath and plenty of apricot and fresh peach aromas and flavors.  Rich but not heavy and very easy to drink.

Klemens Weber Riesling Halbtrocken 2014 1 Liter Product #29944 (In Stock)
Klemens Weber Riesling Halbtrocken 2014 1 Liter Klemens Weber Riesling Halbtrocken 2014 1 Liter

Good thing this comes in an extra-large bottle, because one taste of this fruity (and nearly dry!) Riesling and you’ll be ready to gulp it down.  From a fine grower in Germany's Pfalz region, this is perfectly ripe Riesling allowed to ferment a little longer than a Spatelese or Kabinett wine would.  The longer ferment gives it a bit more body then you might expect from German Riesling while retaining so much juicy, mouthwatering, acidity that you can barely detect the tiny but of residual sugar.  Loads of classic pear and peach flavors accented by floral notes and a pretty lime skin element. Drink it on its own after a hard day of work or play or give it a try with turkey or ham or Asian foods.

Koster Wolf Mueller Thurgau 2014 1 Liter Product #30162 (In Stock)
Koster Wolf Mueller Thurgau 2014 1 Liter Koster Wolf Mueller Thurgau 2014 1 Liter

Crazy fun white wine here that really needs to be in a 1.0 liter bottle (one-third more than a regular bottle) simply because it's going to get drunk so fast.  Ignore the unfamiliar grape and the German here - think of this as a cross between Sauvignon Blanc - lemon, lime, fresh grass - and really good Pinot Grigio - green melon, apple, and more.  Mouthwatering, full of fruit, and clean as a whistle on the generous finish.  Drink it with fish. Drink it with cheese.  Drink it with Thanksgiving.  Just drink it!

Peter Lauer Riesling Barrel X Saar 2014 Product #30459 (In Stock)
Peter Lauer Riesling Barrel X Saar 2014 Peter Lauer Riesling Barrel X Saar 2014

Work with us here.  Forget that you think you don't like German Riesling and try this.  Yes, there's sugar, but that's not what this wine about. Breathtaking.

"Made not exclusively from their own vineyards the 9% alcohol (plus 20 or 22 grams residual sugar) 2014 Alt Scheidt Riesling (or Barrel X in the US) is an untamed flavored Saar Riesling with a lovely slate aroma and a very sappy and piquant taste. It is lovely juicy and sweet, but also very elegant, and a nothing but lovely type of Kabinett, although Floran Lauer does not want to name it like this because predicates are used only for sweet wines."Wine Advocate 93 points

Monchhof Riesling Spatlese Mosel Slate 2013 Product #28818 (In Stock)
Monchhof Riesling Spatlese Mosel Slate 2013 Monchhof Riesling Spatlese Mosel Slate 2013

Another terrific vintage for this old-school  Mosel producer, Robert Eymael.  As you'd expect from a wine called "Slate", this delivers loads of stone and mineral flavors over ripe pear and Fuji apple fruit.  Definitely spatelese weight and richness here, but with vibrant, almost crunch, acidity and minerality on the long, savory, finish.

Selbach-Aster Riesling Bernkasteler Badsture Auslese 2013 Product #30192 (In Stock)
Selbach-Aster Riesling Bernkasteler Badsture Auslese 2013 Selbach-Aster Riesling Bernkasteler Badsture Auslese 2013

From a family-owned estate in the Mosel comes this delicious traditional off-dry Riesling. Quite a bit richer than a Kabinett-style Riesling, but still not quite in dessert wine territory, this single-vineyard Auslese smells of ripe peaches and orange blossoms, and tastes like candied apricots, minus the cloying texture. At once indulgent and refreshing, it's what German Riesling is all about!
