- Dom Du Tix Rose Les Restanques 2014 Product #29798 (In Stock)
This beautiful rosé combines the rustic ripeness of rolling vineyards at the base of Mount Ventoux with the style and sophistication of owners Marie Pirsch and Philippe Danel, who turned to winemaking after successful careers in the French textile and fashion industry. They’ve crafted a lovely blend of Cinsault, Grenche, and Syrah that were all grown specifically for rosé, allowed a brief fermentation on the skins for color, and then finished and aged in stainless steel tanks for freshness and purity.
The wine is a shimmering, gorgeous, pale salmon pink in the glass, where inviting aromas of bright strawberry, tart cherry, watermelon and a nice handful of crushed Provencal herb sing out. The texture is just rosé perfect, light and fresh but with a sense of almost glycerol slickness. The flavors are generous and ultra-pure, with tangy cherry, juicy raspberry, green peach, and a bit of orange zest framed by notes of herb and stone. Perhaps the most dry-tasting rosé we've offered this year, the finish sizzles with watermelon rind, tangy pie cherry, and citrus zest flavors made brighter and more juicy by a big squirt of lemon/lime acidity. So much style and verve here in a wine that will delight by itself and sing with ceviche or any fresh seafood or salad.
