- Vinterra Pinot Gris Waipara Valley 2011 Product #26869 (In Stock)

-
A lovely example of the top-notch Alsace-style Pinot Gris being turned out in New Zealand these days - and great value! Aromas of peach, pear, and a hint of ginger. In the mouth, the fruit gets bigger and more ripe and the ginger more pronounced with a delicious squirt of juicy pear bringing up the rear. Enough acidity to sip anytime and fine ripeness to complement salty foods like ham.

What happens with one of Sancerre's best winemakers tries his hand at New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc? Complexity, length and sophistication to go with the classic New Zealand fruit! Plenty of grapefruit, passion fruit, and gooseberry, with a touch of mineral and citrus rind. Juicy, fresh, and very long on the lemon, lime, and grapefruit finish.
- Neudorf Chardonnay Nelson 2010 Product #26862 (In Stock)
-
-
An old (for NZ - founded 1978) but still family-run winery in Nelson has turned out a lovely bottle of Chardonnay with Burgundy structure and ripe, New World, fruit. Aromas of roasted nuts, smoky mineral, and orchard fruits lead to a bright mouthful of green apple, golden pineapple, and toasted almond flavors. Finishes brisk and clean with a hint of butter lingering. Fine stuff!
- Ten Sisters Sauvignon Blanc Marlborough 2011 Product #26944 (In Stock)

One brother and his 10 sisters (yup, really!) bring us this clean and refreshing New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc from vineyards their parents planted in the 1950s. Restrained and fresh with fruit (pineapple, white grapefruit) and a snappy jalapeno note on the crisp, mouthwatering, finish. A balanced and food friendly sauvignon you'll love with food or on its own.

All of the fruit is from the heart of the Marlborough region, cool fermented in stainless steel for freshness and vivacity. You’ll find bold aromas and flavors of grapefruit, green lime, and fresh cut grass and a clean, lingering, finish that pulls you back for more.
- Mohua Point Pinot Noir Central Otago 2009 Product #26587 (In Stock)

"Palish bright red. Lively, high-pitched aromas of cherry, raspberry, smoke and flowers. Nicely concentrated and complex, conveying a strong impression of solid soil-driven extract to go with its red fruit and smoke flavors. Sweet tannins are nicely supported by the wine's stuffing. The finish is classically dry and salty."International Wine Cellar 88 points

From one of New Zealand's best working in the limestone soils in Martinborough's Te Nuna Road vineyard. Fermented in stainless steel and aged briefly for three months in used French oak, the 2011 shows classic Te Muna chalky minerality under crisp citrus and green apple aromas and flavors. Just a touch of fresh cut hay and herb comes up in the middle with a crisp, citrus, finish.
