- St Innocent Pinot Gris Vitae Springs Vyd Willamette 2011 Product #26628 (In Stock)
-
-
A very fine vintage for this always popular Pinot Gris from Mark Vlossak. Mark tries for an Alsace-styled Pinot Gris, blending richness with a dry, crisp, finish. The 2011 is more concentrated and expressive than last year's 2010, with aromas of apricot, peach blossom, passion fruit and a touch of spice. In the mouth it's dry and bright with notes of pear, apricot, lime and hints of honey and toast. Finishes dry, and clean with bright peach flavors lingering nicely. Great with a wide range of meals and an elegant choice for Holiday parties.
- Left Coast Cellars Pinot Gris The Orchard 2011 Product #25938 (In Stock)
-
-
Left Coast Cellars' Luke McCollom makes wines with big flavors and rich textures, and that certainly includes this Pinot Gris. Aroams of ripe pear and a touch of pineapple lead to a creamy palate featuring crunchy pear and citrus fruit and a hint of cream. A creamy, well-concentrated, wine that gets a lift of juicy citrus and green pineapple on the crisp finish. Very yummy.
- Brandborg Gewurztraminer 2011 Product #26313 (In Stock)
-
-
This fantastic dry Gewurztraminer is from the makers of our favorite value Pinot Noir, Oregon's Brandborg. Its aromatics are classic Gewurz: rose petals, lychee, and hints of spice. It's rich and moutfilling, but finishes clean. All of the exotic aromas and flavors are reigned in by a surprising amount of welcome acidity, making this a perfect partner for gently spiced Indian food.
- Cristom Pinot Noir Willamette Mt. Jefferson 2010 375ml Product #26914 (In Stock)

Another winner from one of Oregon's best. As always, a bit of whole-cluster fruit adds complexity, as does 23 months in barrel (about 25% new). Lovely.
"Light, bright red. Red berry and floral scents are complemented by cinnamon and black tea. Racy and light on its feet, offering vibrant redcurrant and strawberry flavors and a touch of bitter herbs. Finishes tangy and lucid, leaving spice and floral notes behind."International Wine Cellar 90 points
- Elk Cove Pinot Gris Willamette Valley 2011 Product #25793 (In Stock)
-
-
A long-time staff and customer favorite, Elk Cove's Pinot Gris is always about ripe pear and apple fruit, subtle acacia flowers, and juicy lime acidity. At once creamy and juicy, this remains one of the most reliable - and delicious - Oregon Pinot Gris wines we know!
- Brandborg Pinot Noir Bench Lands Oregon 2009 Product #26356 (In Stock)
-
-
Hard to believe, but the best selling $20 Pinot in the store is even better in 2009 than before. Once again, a fairly lightly colored, elegant, bottle of Oregon Pinot from the Umpqua Valley. Lovely aromas of berries, mushroom and roses lead to a silky, vibrant, mouthful of fresh strawberries, crunchy cherries and fresh turned earth. Just a tad more depth and smoke than the fine 2008 and ready to drink now.
"Light red. Zesty redcurrant and cherry aromas are deepened by smoky spices and cola. Lively and sharply focused, offering nervy red berry flavors and silky texture. The spiciness repeats on the energetic finish, which leaves a bitter cherry note behind."International Wine Cellar 88 points
- St Innocent Pinot Blanc Freedom Hill Vyd Willamette 2011 Product #26888 (In Stock)
-
-
Owner/winemaker Mark Vlossak created this wine so he'd have something perfect to drink with fresh Dungeness crab, and while it does other things well, it's really brilliant with seafood. Aromas of pineapple, white peach and apricot lead to a fresh, vibrant, mouthful of white fruits, spice and mineral. Round and minerally textured, it finishes with just the right squirt of acidity. Ceviche, shellfish, or even fish tacos all work beautifully.
- J. Christopher Sauvignon Blanc Willamette Valley 2011 Product #26444 (In Stock)
-
-
If you could grow and make dry Sauvignon Blanc along the steep, slatey, hills of Germany’s Mosel River, this is what it would taste like. Lot's of acidity here - just how Jay Somers likes it! - so pair with cheeses and salads. Redolent with pepeprmint, citrus, and passion fruit aromas and flavors, it's very bright and mouthwateringly juicy. Notes of slate and lemon drop come up on the long, zesty, finish. Powerful and very, very, good.
- Biggio Hamina Pinot Noir Zenith Vyd 2009 Product #26310 (In Stock)
-
-
Todd Hamina’s Zenith Vineyard Pinot takes the basic structure of his Willamette Valley 2009 and adds more concentrated fruit, complexity, and polish. The excitement here is the contrast of the powerful structure and the ethereal weight and flavors. As IWC says, “power and vivacity.” This will be outstanding with duck or salmon right now and get earthier and richer in the cellar.
"All Dijon clone 777; 45% whole clusters and 20% new oak. Bright red. Intense, spice-accented aromas of strawberry, raspberry and rhubarb, with a floral overtone. Juicy and precise, offering vibrant red fruit flavors that pick up smokiness and depth with air. Closes on a bitter cherry note, with impressive cut and lingering floral character. I really like this wine's precision and its blend of power and vivacity."International Wine Cellar 92 points
- Sineann Pinot Gris Oregon 2012 Product #27150 (In Stock)
-
-
One of the very best Pinot Gris we've tasted in years, marrying the kind of oily richness we love in top Alsace Pinot Gris with racy, Pinot Grigio-like, acidity. Aromas and flavors feature ripe pear, citrus peel, kiwi fruit, and plenty of dusty mineral, all lifted by bracing lemon/grapefruit acidity. Intense, but not harsh, rich, but not heavy, it's a perfect match for Thai or Latin American food flavors. Or to just drink - really, really, good stuff.
- Grochau Cellars Pinot Noir Willamette 2009 Product #27222 (In Stock)
-
-
The 2009 Oregon Pinots are in a very pretty place right now - but they're mostly all gone. So, we were delighted to grab a little of the ripe and friendly Grochau Cellars Willamette Valley cuvee. 2009's warm fragrances of blackberry, black cherry, and a touch of cola show on the nose and are joined by a touch of licorice, kirsch and fresh earth on the palate. Smooth tannins build from the middle to end, providing grip and focus to the generous dark fruit flavors. Very tasty on its own or with salmon or duck.
- Ken Wright Pinot Noir Shea Vyd 2011 375ml Product #26569 (In Stock)
-
-
Wine Advocate has suggested that Shea is the Willamette Valley’s one potential “superstar” vineyard and Ken makes the benchmark wine from this famous site. Ken uses fruit from three different blocks in the vineyard, two planted to Dijon 114 and one to Dijon 777 clones. Shea Vineyard gives black/red fruit - especially blueberry - but with more spice and earth than other Yamhill-Carlton wines. Always a fine marriage of ripe fruit and juicy, fresh, texture, this usually wants a few years in cellar to show its best. Ken pretty much made the reputation of this vineyard, and it's always one of his most powerful, concentrated, wines.
- Lundeen Syrah Rogue Valley 2008 Product #26605 (In Stock)
-
-
Not surprisingly, when an talented Willamette Valley Pinot winemaker heads south for Syrah from Oregon's Rouge Valley, you end up with something special - a New World Syrah for Pinot lovers! Aromas and flavors feature ripe and tangy blueberry and blackberry fruit accented by a dash of bitter chocolate and hint of Syrah's characteristic rare meat. The flavors are fantastically pure and the texture light and elegant, but there's plenty of intensity and depth here, too. Fine grained tannins and just the right touch of spice and meat support the long, berry-filled, finish. Just about perfect for roast pork or beef tenderloin!
