Ransom Pinot Gris Eola Amity 2012 Product #27740 (In Stock)
Ransom Pinot Gris Eola Amity 2012 Ransom Pinot Gris Eola Amity 2012

Very little made (just 232 cases) of this organically grown, naturally made, Piont Gris from Cattrall and Temperance Hill vineyards.  A rich, deeply-textured, take on Oregon Pinot Gris that shows the complexity of whole cluster pressing, two months on the lees, and just the right hint of residual sugar. Aromas and flavors of heirloom apples, tart pear, mountain flowers and brioche bread.  Creamy and rich on the palate but then juicy and refreshing on the mouthwatering finish where lemon custard and browned pear notes linger.

"Ample and subtly creamy, this still offers more than enough refreshing primary juiciness and an abundance of ripe peach as if close to the core: subtly piquant and salty in a manner that really stimulates the salivary glands. A garland of bittersweet floral perfume and additionally invigorating twist of lime peel add to the appeal of this outstanding value that should prove highly versatile until at least 2015."Wine Advocate 89 points

Seven Of Hearts Pinot Gris Oregon 2012 Product #28319 (In Stock)
Seven Of Hearts Pinot Gris Oregon 2012 Seven Of Hearts Pinot Gris Oregon 2012

A serious Pinot Gris - despite the not-so-serious label!  This blend of two Oregon vineyard sites opens with aromas of pear, golden apples, and nutmeg.  More than half was aged in neutral barrels, giving this a touch of richness.  On the palate, those pear flavors persist, and the wine has a satisfying richness that would make it absolutely fantastic with crab.

Brandborg Pinot Noir Bench Lands Oregon 2009 Product #26356 (In Stock)
Brandborg Pinot Noir Bench Lands Oregon 2009 Brandborg Pinot Noir Bench Lands Oregon 2009

Hard to believe, but the best selling $20 Pinot in the store is even better in 2009 than before.  Once again, a fairly lightly colored, elegant, bottle of Oregon Pinot from the Umpqua Valley. Lovely aromas of berries, mushroom and roses lead to a silky, vibrant, mouthful of fresh strawberries, crunchy cherries and fresh turned earth.  Just a tad more depth and smoke than the fine 2008 and ready to drink now.

"Light red. Zesty redcurrant and cherry aromas are deepened by smoky spices and cola. Lively and sharply focused, offering nervy red berry flavors and silky texture. The spiciness repeats on the energetic finish, which leaves a bitter cherry note behind."International Wine Cellar 88 points

Talbott Kali Hart Pinot Noir 2012 Product #27879 (In Stock)
Talbott Kali Hart Pinot Noir 2012 Talbott Kali Hart Pinot Noir 2012

Kali Hart is a stand-alone “winery within a winery” program, named after Robb and Cynthia Talbott’s youngest daughter, Kalin Hart Talbott – vibrant, youthful wines that remind the Talbotts of Kali.  All are made from 100% estate grown fruit from Talbot’s famous Sleepy Hollow Vineyard. The 2012 release is a big, bold, take on Pinot Noir.  It's very lush and delivers plenty of black cherry/mulberry fruit and sweet cola flavors accented by notes of spicy ground cinnamon.  Soft and generous, this will do well with richer foods (even beef!) and is seductive and delicious all by itself, too.

Ken Wright Pinot Noir Shea Vyd 2011 375ml Product #26569 (In Stock)
Ken Wright Pinot Noir Shea Vyd 2011 375ml Ken Wright Pinot Noir Shea Vyd 2011 375ml

Wine Advocate has suggested that Shea is the Willamette Valley’s one potential “superstar” vineyard and Ken makes the benchmark wine from this famous site.  Ken uses fruit from three different blocks in the vineyard, two planted to Dijon 114 and one to Dijon 777 clones. Shea Vineyard gives black/red fruit - especially blueberry - but with more spice and earth than other Yamhill-Carlton wines.  Always a fine marriage of ripe fruit and juicy, fresh, texture, this usually wants a few years in cellar to show its best. Ken pretty much made the reputation of this vineyard, and it's always one of his most powerful, concentrated, wines.
