- Dom Thibert St Veran Bois De Fee 2010 Product #27103 (In Stock)
As Burghound said, “This is excellent” and, at the price, far more excellent still! From just outside of Pouilly Fuisse, this beauty is rich and deeply flavored, serving up wave after wave of pineapple, apple, and yellow peach fruit framed in mouth-tingling acidity and chalky minerality. One of the steals of our 2013 Burgundy selections – buy lots.
“Sweet Spot Outstanding. This had recently been racked and sulfur aromas dominated the nose. However there is lovely richness to the round and delicious flavors that are blessed with ample amount of dry extract that impart a seductive texture to the intensely mineral-inflected, dry, linear and solidly persistent finish. This is excellent.”Allen Meadows 89-92 points
- Dom Thibert Pouilly Fuisse Vielles Vignes 2010 Product #25974 (In Stock)
This is one of Christophe’s most impressive wines in 2010, especially given the very reasonable price. Made from organically farmed 30-40 year-old Chardonnay vines, this is all hand-harvested and vinified and aged in mainly used oak (only 10% new wood). It opens with wonderfully complex aromas of beeswax, grilled hazelnuts, almond blossom, fresh butter, tangerine and savory herb - waxy and complex. Then, in the mouth, at once rich and super precise with flavors of white peach, tangy apple, passion fruit accented by notes of lemon oil, browned butter, and mint. Notes of herb honey and spice well up in the middle of this richly textured but powerfully vibrant and fresh wine. Finishes very long and refreshing, and while it’s delicious now, this will grow nicely in cellar for 7 or 8 years more.
