- Seven Falls Cabernet Sauvignon Columbia Valley 2013 Product #31537 (In Stock)
This Wahluke Falls Cab sells for $23 at the winery and comfortably outperforms that price point. The fruit is fully ripe and rich - but not over-ripe or pruney - with generous aromas and flavors of blackcurrant, blackberry, dark raspberry and crushed herb. A full 18 months in 53% new barrels (one-third American, two-thirds French oak) gives the wine a supple and plush mouthfeel and loads of cocoa, vanilla, and rich sweet spice notes. The finish is remarkably long for a $20-$30 bottling, with layered currant, berry, cocoa and spice flavors flowing out over fine-grained tannins that melt away gently. A great choice to pair up with roast beef, grilled lamb, or roasted vegetable dishes or to just pop and pour at a big celebration. A lot of wine for the money!
"Aromas of vanilla, herb, cocoa and barrel spice lead the nose of this attractive Cab. The well-balanced palate offers coffee and dark fruit flavors that transition seamlessly into a lingering finish."Wine Enthusiast 90 points
- Milbrandt Vineyards Brothers' Blend Columbia Valley 2012 Product #30959 (In Stock)
Here's a big, rich, plush and very smooth blend of seven different Washington grapes: Caberenet Sauvignon, Syrah, Merlot, Malbec, Grenache, Tempranillo and Barbera all given 16 months in oak for extra depth. Not at all heavy, but full of blackberry and blueberry pie fruit with accents of chocolate and spice. The fruit and spice turn more fresh on the long, soft, finish. A great cookout red!
