As IWC said of the 2009, "This style of zin is getting harder to find." Old school, Lodi, Zin with a bold perfume of spicy red berries, flowers, and black pepper. Then a big, juicy, mouthful of super-ripe, even jammy, Zinfandel fruit lifted and kept fresh by a hint of orange peel acidity and more cracked pepper. Finishes juicy and fruity, with no alcoholic heat. Great burger or - even better - BBQ rib wine!
