Dom Lauverjat Pouilly-Fume 2013 Product #28635 (In Stock)
Dom Lauverjat Pouilly-Fume 2013 Dom Lauverjat Pouilly-Fume 2013

"Fume" - or "smoke" - is the signature of snappy Sauvignon Blanc grown on the Kimmeridgian soils laced with red flint from just across the Loire River from Sancerre.  This is a classic, with aromas and flavors of white grapefruit, lemon, green melon, and Granny Smith Apple and plenty of minerally, smoky, "gun flint" character.  Delicious on its own, but better still with freshwater fish or warm goat cheese salad.

Vincent Delaporte Sancerre Chavignol 2013 Product #29213 (In Stock)
Vincent Delaporte Sancerre Chavignol 2013 Vincent Delaporte Sancerre Chavignol 2013

From the heart of Chavignol, this is a stunning bottle for fans of crushed herb, taut citrus, and lots and lots of gunflint minerality.  But, it’s also for anyone who loves generous yellow/white fruit (think peaches and lime) and length on the palate and finish.  Super delicious Sancerre.

“Hugely herbaceous, this is a crisp, mineral-driven wine that’s so fresh and fruity at the same time, with bright stone fruit and citrus character. Textured with a nervy acidity and a steely core, it could age to round out its corners.”Wine Enthusiast 92 points

“Vincent Delaporte’s 2013 Sancerre shows a wonderful combination of exuberant fruit and the distinctive herbal snap of Loire Sauvignon. It offers lemon, grapefruit and green apple fruit scents are followed by hints of honeysuckle and fresh herbs. The flavors of mouthwatering citrus and apple fruits are backed by subtle floral and herbal hints.”WRO 90 points

Henri Bourgeois Sancerre La Cote Des Monts Damnes 2012 Product #29309 (In Stock)
Henri Bourgeois Sancerre La Cote Des Monts Damnes 2012 Henri Bourgeois Sancerre La Cote Des Monts Damnes 2012

From the most famous Cru in Sancerre, this is brilliant Sauvignon Blanc.  Cut and crisp but with enough richness to avoid austerity, the layered flavors of citrus, pineapple, and crushed stone sail on and on and on.

"Henri Bourgeois’ 2012 Sancerre La Côte des Monts Damnés could be considered as perfume of the famous Coteau. It is less cumbersome than other Monts Damnés but offers all the flavors that makes this Chavignol Cru so special. It is a mixture of crushed white rocks with almost floral citrus flavors intertwined with the tropical flavor of a fully ripe and juicy pineapple and a refreshing mineral depth. All this gives this wine a precision that makes you sniffing above the glass for a while before you raise it to your mouth. This is a mouthful of rich, intense, elegant, fresh and well-balanced Sancerre that is full-bodied and juicy but by no means heavy, loud or saturating. The lingering salinity in combination with the ripe acidity is very appetizing and gives this complex wine a very good length. Henri Bourgois’ La Côte des Monts Damnés is definitely the wine to start with when you want to discover one of the most fascinating terroirs of the Sancerre appellation."Wine Advocate 92 points
