A fabulous little rose sparkler made of 75% Prosecco and 25% Pinot Noir, perfect for the dog days of summer! Aromas of strawberries, peaches, and a hint of almond. Great, mouthwatering acidity and a much more sophisticated finish than we expected at this price.
Perfect as an aperitif - whets your appetite in the most delightful way! - Villa Brunesca Pinot Grigio 2012 Product #27087 (In Stock)

Grown on the plains north of Venice, this is a rich, creamy, Grigio with lots of depth to the lightly candied pear and salty caramel flavors. Ripe pear features prominently in the nose and on the palate, with plenty of spicy pear and nectarine fruit lingering at the end. A powerhouse, zesty, Pinot Grigio that will sing with Thai or Indian food.
- Corte Adami Valpolicella Superiore 2010 Product #26892 (In Stock)

An "old school" Valpolicella from a fairly young estate (2004). A blend of Corvina, Corvinone and Rondinella grapes from 40 year-old vines done all in tank, this features ripe black cherry fruit flavors and aromas with a dash of fresh, resiny, pine and herb. With a little air, the fruit gets darker and spicier and a lovely dried tobacco note emerges. Juicy and lightly tannic, this will work extremely well at table.

Not sure I fully understand the "only" 88 point rating here, but the tasting note from WA is spot on. As pure and delicious a Valpolicella as I've ever had from someone not named Quintarelli.
"Proprietor Marinella Camerani can be counted on for wines of true character and personality. Organic farming and minimal handling in the cellar are some of the core principles that inform the house style at Corte Sant’Alda. The 2010 Valpolicella Ca’ Fiui is a delicious wine to drink now and over the next few years, while the fruit remains vibrant and vinous. Sweet red berries, flowers and spices linger on the juicy finish. This is a gorgeous wine for the money. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2015."Wine Advocate 88 points
- La Formica Valpolicella Ripasso 2010 Product #26357 (In Stock)

Now this is what Ripasso is supposed to taste like! Definitely marked by the dried fruit, tar, and earth flavors from the secondary fermentation on the lees of Amarone. But, there's still plenty of fresh sweet and sour cherry fruit and a vibrant, juicy, texture as well. This will sing with richer pasta dishes as well as grilled lamb loin or port. Very fine effort.
