- Ch La Roche St. Jean Bordeaux Rouge 2011 Product #26807 (In Stock)

A classic Bordeaux blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (60%) and Merlot (40%). This is a soft, fruit filled, take on Bordeaux that fills your mouth with juicy red currant and black berry fruit accented by a touch of spice. Subtle notes of fresh herb and tobacco keep this anchored in Bordeaux, and there’s just the enough ripe tannin to let it work well at table (but not enough to get in the way of solo sipping).
- Ch De La Vieille Tour Bordeaux Blanc 2011 Product #27193 (In Stock)

Here's a round and creamy Bordeaux blanc with a very sophisticated texture and plenty of creamy fruit. Clean and bright from first sip to last with apple and stone fruit and a bit of chalk. Finishes mouthwatering with a touch of grass and more ripe citrus fruit. A refreshing blend of Sauvignon (60%), Semillon (35%) and Muscadelle (5%).
- La Cappuccina Madego Rosso 2011 Product #27230 (In Stock)
-
-
Certified organic, winner of the "Un Biccheri" prize from Gambero Rosso, and a "super-Tuscan-style" steal at this price! Like the more famous super-Tuscan reds from Bolgheri, this is a Bordeaux blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (80%), Merlot (10%) and Carmenere (10%) that's actually pretty traditional for this part of Northeastern Italy. Aromas and flavors feature ripe redcurrant and cherry fruit with accents of aged tobacco and sweet spice. It's nicely fresh and softly textured, but packed with easy-drinking flavor and plenty of fruit and tobacco complexity. It'll handle anything you pull off the grill, but will be especially delicious with rich pork or sausage dishes.
- Santa Ema Amplus One 2008 Product #27110 (In Stock)
-
-
A sophisticated, complex, and very, very, tasty blend of Chile’s own Carmenère (75%) plus dark and meaty Syrah (20%) and blue fruited and mineral Carignan, all aged in French oak for 12 months. The stylish flavors and satiny structure will have you thinking this is a $30 Bordeaux from a fine vintage (like 2009) or perhaps an unusually restrained and sophisticated Napa Meritage blend. Only your wallet needs to know differently!
“The 2008 Amplus One is made up of 75% Carmenere, 20% Syrah, and 5% Carignan. It displays aromas of damp earth, balsamic, herbs, blueberry, and black plum. On the palate, it reveals some elegance, savory flavors, good volume, and a bit of structure. This tasty effort will provide pleasure over the next 6 years.”Wine Advocate 91 points
“Impressive and generous, this gets going with full berry and chocolaty oak aromas. The well-structured palate bears lightly herb-tinged flavors of berry and chocolate. It finishes dry, peppery and sturdy as a cinder block.”Wine Enthusiast 91 points
“Sleek, with nice focus and purity for the vintage, as the damson plum, cherry and red currant fruit is carried by fine-grained structure. Lingering whiffs of tobacco and mineral mark the finish. Carmenère, Syrah, Carignan.”Wine Spectator 90 points
- Baracchi O'Lillo Toscana 2011 Product #26117 (In Stock)
-
-
A blend of three Bordeaux grapes – Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc – plus a helping of smoky, meaty, Syrah. The grapes are grown in a fine vineyard in Eastern Tuscany, where they are planted to tight spacing and hand harvested at perfect ripeness. The grapes soak for 22 days in old wood casks and then ferment and age in temperature controlled stainless steel.
The wine’s dark, saturated, color leads you to expect a powerful, even heavy, red. But everything here is actually wonderfully fresh and vibrant. The aromas feature redcurrant, crushed fresh herb, dark chocolate, and a dash of spice. The palate is luxuriously textured – full but round and velvety – and the pure flavors of currant, cherry, juicy plum get complexity from notes of tobacco, herb, and bitter chocolate. A bright squirt of fresh acidity lifts the flavors up and keeps things refreshing on the pretty, almost floral, finish. The marriage of ripe fruit, juicy acids, and silky tannins make this a great sipping wine, but even better with foods like grilled or roasted meats, sautéed mushrooms, or even pasta and red sauce. To drink now and for 5 or so years. - La Fleur D'or Sauternes 2010 375ml Product #26686 (In Stock)
-
-
Classic Sauternes flavors that won't break the bank! The aromas feature candied pineapple and lemon with a hint of creme caramel. Starts off bright and almost tangy before the sweet honey, candied fruit, and creme brulee flavors expand to coat your palate. Bright acidity freshens things at the end and lead to a long, gently sweet, finish.
- Ch La Cardonne Medoc 2009 Product #27116 (In Stock)
-
-
Nicely in the drinking window now with miles to go in cellar yet.
"This is a major sleeper of the vintage and the best wine I have ever tasted from La Cardonne, which is in the northern end of the Medoc, near the town of Blaignan. A blend of 50% Merlot, 45% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest Cabernet Franc, this 2009 offers up notes of tobacco leaf, cassis, and loamy soil with underbrush nuances. With excellent texture, impressive purity, and medium to full body, this is a rich, over-achieving cru bourgeois to drink over the next decade."Wine Advocate 88 points
- Moulin D' Issan Bordeaux Superieur 2010 Product #27190 (In Stock)
-
-
From the famous Margaux estate Ch. d'Issan, this Bordeaux Superior from a nearby vineyard is a fantastic value in drink-me-now Bordeaux. A classic blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (70%) and Merlot, this ages for 16 months in 30% new French oak. In 2010, it's rock solid - chocolaty and round with generous red currant fruit. Notes of baking spice and tobacco add complexity and the tannins are soft and plush. Great with lamb or beef now and likely to improve for 3-5 years.
- Thurston Wolfe Cabernet Sauvignon "The Teacher" 2010 Product #26311 (In Stock)
-
-
The undisputed “Ugliest Label In the Store” award winner is actually a terrific bottle of Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. As Wine Advocate said, “Thurston Wolfe is an artisanal producer of wines with personality. The production of these wines ranges from 48 cases to 588 cases so interested parties are advised to get on the mailing list.”
The 2010 is 100% Cabernet from three vineyard’s in the famous Horse Heaven Hills region, The Teacher gets 21 months in French, American and Hungarian oak to smooth out any rough edges. The aromas are big and complex: grilled bread, pencil lead, Asianspice, violets, and loads of dark black fruit. Then, a big mouthful of ripe black fruits and oak spice in a full bodied, rich, package. Nicely ripe and firm tannin give support and make this a great choice for anything roasted or grilled.
- Paradise Springs Meritage 2010 Product #26335 (In Stock)
-
-
This is a fine example of how excellent Virginia wines can be - and an all-too-rare value to boot! From vineyards just down the road from here, this is a classic Bordeaux blend: 37% Cabernet Franc, 24% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot, 11% Petit Verdot, 8% Malbec. Aromas of blackcurrant, cherry, fresh herb and spice lead to a palate of round, rich, black fruits, tobacco, cedar and vanilla. Fine ripe tannin and just the right touch of acidity lift the long and complex finish.
- Clos Du Roy Fronsac 2009 Product #26342 (In Stock)
-
-
Another great 2009 Bordeaux with plenty of stuffing but also loads of immediate appeal. Mainly Merlot here in Fronsac and just a touch of new oak. It's rich and creamy on the nose and palate with ripe red and black currant fruit, cedar, baking spice, and tobacco notes. A hint of bitter chocolate starts on the back and lingers on the long finish. Juicy and fresh in the middle with a dark, creamy, character at the end.
- Glen Manor Vin Rouge 2011 Product #26910 (In Stock)
-
-
A Bordeaux style blend from one of our favorite Virginia wineries, Glen Manor's Vin Rouge is a blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 36% Petit Verdot, and 14% Merlot that is surprisingly soft considering the full-bodied grapes that make up the blen. Rich and mouthfilling, but with a pleasing freshness of fruit, it's perfect for richer dishes like duck or game.
- Ch Tour Haut-Caussan Medoc 2010 Product #27279 (In Stock)
-
-
Very fine value in cellar worthy (but already delicious) Bordeaux!
"A brilliant sleeper of the vintage from this property, which often provides consumers with a value-priced wine that performs like a classified growth, the 2010 is an equal-part blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot from the northern village of Blaignan. The 2010 comes across like a St. Estephe. Deep ruby/purple, with notes of charcoal/burning embers in addition to black currants, licorice, truffle and graphite, it is full-bodied, rich, authoritative and has light to moderate tannins. It should drink well for 10-12+ years."Wine Advocate 90 points

Made only in larger cope years from younger vines at this "Super Second" Pauillac estate. The 2004 edition opens with classic Pauillac aromas of blackcurrant, tobacco and cedar that get stronger with air.
