Dom De La Chanteleuserie Bourgueil Alouettes 2014 Product #30887 (In Stock)
Dom De La Chanteleuserie Bourgueil Alouettes 2014 Dom De La Chanteleuserie Bourgueil Alouettes 2014

As Wine Advocate wrote a few years ago, "Thierry Boucard’s Bourgueils from Domaine de la Chanteleuserie and the downright ridiculous value they offer should win many new converts to the cause of the Loire Cabernet Franc."  This is 100% Cabernet Franc raised all in tank, and it was one of the first wines imported by Kermit Lynch back in the 1970s.  The 2014 edition delivers fresh, crunchy, cherry and red-currant fruit with a nice dose of crushed herb.  Finishes mouthwatering and fresh.  An easygoing bistro red.

Jean-Maurice Raffault Chinon Les Galuches 2015 Product #30914 (In Stock)
Jean-Maurice Raffault Chinon Les Galuches 2015 Jean-Maurice Raffault Chinon Les Galuches 2015

A great 2015, even better than the 89 point WS 2014.  The Spectator described that as, "Bright cherry and red currant fruit is liberally laced with tobacco and shiso leaf notes, giving this an almost snappy edge. A taut chalky spine runs through the finish."  In 2015, the wine is richer, rounder, and has more sweet fruit but finishes with fine energy and very fine tannins.  A bistro beauty!

Dom Fabrice Gasnier Chinon Rose 2015 Product #31077 (In Stock)
Dom Fabrice Gasnier Chinon Rose 2015 Dom Fabrice Gasnier Chinon Rose 2015

The energy, tangy cherry fruit and crushed  herb freshness that makes Chinon's Cabernet Franc such a great all-around "bistro red" works even better in this vibrant rose that will charm and delight you.  Fabrice Gasnier has transformed his family's Loire Valley estate by converting to certified biodynamic farming and then doing as little as possible to his grapes in the winery.

This is 100% Cabernet Franc from younger vines growing on Chinon's gravely, Loire riverside, vineyards.  After a brief stay on the skins, it's pressed into tank and allowed to finish low and slow with 5-6 months on the lees. In 2015, the fruit is huge and ripe - busting with bold ripe red and Bing cherry with squirt of ripe strawberry for good measure.  Spicy crushed herb, savory tobacco, and a twist of black pepper give the fruit plenty of verve and complexity on the mouthwatering finish.  Fun to drink on its own and better still with cheeses, salads, and grilled poultry.
