Casa Castillo El Molar Jumilla Garnacha 2012 Product #30260 (In Stock)
Casa Castillo El Molar Jumilla Garnacha 2012 Casa Castillo El Molar Jumilla Garnacha 2012

Not sure how the 2012 got missed after Wine Advocate 92 and 93 ratings for the 2011 and 2013, but this 100% Garnacha aged in used large oak casks is a stunner.  Super deep and rich, with a black-tinge to the raspberry fruit and accents of crushed flower, chocolate and spice.  Finishes bright and crisp with mid-summer strawberry and orange peel lingering.  Gutsy enough for rich food but elegant enough to serve in place of Pinot with salmon.

Dom Du Tix Ventoux Garrigue 2013 Product #30122 (In Stock)
Dom Du Tix Ventoux Garrigue 2013 Dom Du Tix Ventoux Garrigue 2013

On the cool slopes of Mount Ventoux, Grenache ripens slowly in the warm heat of the Southern France sunshine but retains remarkable freshness from the cool air creeping down the mountainside every night.  You'll smell the southern Rhone's warm on the nose here, with big aromas of kirsch, baked raspberries, garrigue - thyme, lavender, and pine - and a touch of meaty richness from 10% Syrah in the blend.  On the palate the cool nights shine as the big, rich, flavors are enlivened by a sense of cool freshness.  Deep black raspberry, blueberry and baked strawberry fruit gain complexity from notes of cool stones and tangy blueberry. Finishes clean and fresh and long, with smooth tannins and a dusty minerality.  Drink it cool in a warm, sunny, spot or let it warm up to match with sausages, grilled meat, or stew.  Excellent value.

Yalumba Bush Vine Grenache Barossa 2014 Product #30771 (In Stock)

From 50-100 year-old vines, this is always one of Australia's very best Grenache values.

"High-pitched aromas of fresh red berries, candied rose, blood orange and white pepper; smells a lot like an elegant Pinot Noir to me. Clean, racy and vibrant on the palate, with the redcurrant and bitter cherry flavors conveying a weightless quality. Spicy, brisk and gently tannic on the clinging finish. This distinctly graceful wine is extremely easy to drink now but it should age nicely on its balance. These vines were reportedly planted between 1898 and 1973."  Vinous (Reynolds) 90 points

"Pale garnet colored with a hint of purple, the 2014 Grenache Old Bush Vine offers enticing red cherry and raspberry preserves notes accented with suggestions of cinnamon stick, orange peel, red roses and white pepper. Medium-bodied and beautifully delicate in the mouth, it sure doesn't scrimp on the flavor, filling the palate with warm red berries and baking spice cushioned with soft tannins and finishing with great length."Wine Advocate 90+ points
