Anton Bauer Riesling Berg 2014 Product #30507 (In Stock)
Anton Bauer Riesling Berg 2014 Anton Bauer Riesling Berg 2014

A great introduction to the joys (and stellar value) of Riesling from Austria.  From a stony vineyard, this ultra pure and clean Riesling delivers intense aromas and flavors of ripe peach, lime zest, and fresh apricot with stony mineral notes and brisk, mouth-cleansing, acidity.  A touch of spice on the juicy finish makes this a great choice for Thanksgiving - but once you've tried this bright but easy-drinking white, you'll find yourself reaching for it again and again.

How do you follow up a Wine Enthusiast 96 point 2012 Wagram Pinot?  With an even better 2013! Kind of a Willamette Valley meets Sonoma Coast experience here, with just a touch of Burgundy, too.  Deep aromas of black raspberry, cherry, smoke, underbrush, and more soar from the glass.  On the palate, rich and silken in texture, with complex fruit, earth, smoke and spice flavors and a long, pure, finish.  Drink it with mushrooms, duck, or lamb or just on its own.

Anton Bauer Gruner Veltliner Eiswein 2013 375ml Product #31238 (In Stock)
Anton Bauer Gruner Veltliner Eiswein 2013 375ml Anton Bauer Gruner Veltliner Eiswein 2013 375ml

One bitterly cold morning in January 2014, Anton Bauer and his team got up before dawn and harvested the last Grüner Veltliner berries of the 2013 growing season.  The frozen berries were rushed to the winery and immediately pressed, releasing tiny amounts of super-sugar-laden juicy and leaving the still solid water behind.  The thick, viscous, juice went into tank where it slowly fermented until the yeast could do no more, bringing the wine to 12.5% alcohol and leaving a stunning amount of rich sweetness and bracing acidity behind.

Despite the 2014 harvest date, this is technically a 2013 vintage wine.  But whatever you call it, the wine is brilliant.  Rich and creamy with layers of apricot, peach and white fruit aromas and flavors, there's a touch of honey and caramel for depth and bracing, tangy, acidity for freshness.  Sits on your palate for minutes after each sip, this is a rare treat you won't want to miss.
