- Clos Du Caillou Cotes Du Rhone Bouquet Des Garrigues 2011 Product #27672 (In Stock)
Don't let the new label fool you - another great vintage from this classic.
"Showing surprising depth and richness in the vintage, the 2011 Cotes du Rhone Bouquet des Garrigues offers loads of spice, kirsch liqueur, hints of leather, and crushed flowers on the nose. Medium-bodied, elegant and textured, yet also with sweet tannin, it should be consumed over the coming 4-5 years. Drink now-2019. "Wine Advocate 90 points
- Clos Du Caillou Chateauneuf Du Pape Les Safres 2010 Product #26572 (In Stock)
"This estate, which encompasses considerable acreage, produces Cotes du Rhones and Chateauneuf du Papes. It has nearly 25 acres in the former appellation as well as a remarkable 42 acres in the actual clos (or walled vineyard) of Caillou. Part of that is only 500 meters from the Rayas vineyard. The cellars and the clos are located in the eastern/northeastern sector of the appellation. The vineyards have been biodynamically farmed since 2003, and Domaine du Caillou is one of the reference points for Chateauneuf du Pape as well as Cotes du Rhone. The 2010 Chateauneuf du Pape Les Safres (100% Grenache aged in foudre) comes from a lieu-dit called Les Bedines. Exhibiting a dense ruby/purple color, super ripe fruit and a deep, full-bodied, layered style, it may be the finest Les Safres offering I have yet tasted. Drink it over the next 10-15 years."
