- Dom Thibert Pouilly Fuisse Vignes Blanches 2008 Product #24753 (In Stock)
Everything takes a big step up in this single vineyard wine from one of Thibert’s two best sites. The Burghound review captures this well – rich, complex, and loaded with driving minerality. Outstanding
“Moderate wood doesn't detract from the otherwise fresh, bright and expressive nose that offers up white orchard fruit aromas, subtle spice hints and floral notes that precede rich, sappy and admirably pure flavors that possess plenty of acid buffering dry extract and excellent length as well as notably more complexity. Sweet Spot/Outstanding”Allen Meadows 89-92 points
- Dom Thibert Pouilly Fuisse Les Champs 2009 Product #25975 (In Stock)
Arguably Christophe’s top wine, this single vineyard Chardonnay includes a slug of super-concentrated fruit from 100 year-old vines. There are currently no 1er Cru designated vineyards in Pouilly Fuisse – although Christophe is leading the fight to create a classification – but this is absolutely 1er Cru quality and every bit equal to top Cote de Beaune 1er Crus that cost twice as much.
“A distinctly ripe nose of peach, white flower and orange peel gives way to round and very rich medium-bodied flavors that brim with dry extract that confers a textured quality to the notably intense and relatively dry finish. Solid quality here.”Allen Meadows 89-91 points
