Dom Weinbach Pinot Blanc Reserve 2014 Product #30320 (In Stock)
Dom Weinbach Pinot Blanc Reserve 2014 Dom Weinbach Pinot Blanc Reserve 2014

A perfect wine to enjoy with rich, pre-dinner, treats (warm crab dip anyone?) as well as at the table with everything from white fish to ham. Lovely Anjou pear and Crispin apple aromas with just a twist of lemon peel. Then flavors of rich autumn pear and golden apple fruit with a dusting of lime zest supported by plenty of stony mineral.  The texture stays rich and generous even as the citrus acidity makes your mouth water and a savory, stony note lingers on and on. Catherine Faller suggested this as a match for a big plate of Alsace sausages, but the same bright acidity, ripe fruit, and savory finish make this delicious on its own, too.

"The 2014 Pinot Blanc Réserve is an assemblage of 70% Auxerrois and 30% Pinot Blanc from the bottom of Altenbourg. Intensely fruity and crisp, with ripe yellow apple aromas, Granny Smith and some lemon flavors, the wine opens very clear and precise on the nose. Full-bodied and round on the palate, this is a very elegant and well balanced, fruit intense Pinot with a nice grip, freshness and an aromatic finish. Some stimulating salinity here as well."Wine Advocate 88 points

Dom Weinbach Pinot Gris Cuvee Ste Catherine 2013 Product #30372 (In Stock)
Dom Weinbach Pinot Gris Cuvee Ste Catherine 2013 Dom Weinbach Pinot Gris Cuvee Ste Catherine 2013

This is simply as good as Pinot Gris gets.  Chock full of peach, pear, and yellow apple fruit with layers and layers of sweet spice, lemon peel, and smoke aromas and flavors.  Really spreads out and completely coats your palate with fantastic richness and depth before a burst of bracing acidity and smoked stone minerality emerges to scrub your mouth clean – and get you ready for the next sip.  Fantastic length to the palate and finish.  A stunner that’s irresistible right now, although you can wait a few years if you really want to.

"Picked with noble rot and a higher potential alcohol, the 2013 Pinot Gris Cuvée Sainte Catherine was bottled with 14.4% alcohol plus 16.1 grams per liter residual sugar. The wine shows a lemon-fresh color with a greenish shimmer. Intense and clear on the nose, with very ripe fruit aromas and some hints of noble botrytis, the 2013 is rich, supple, concentrated and round but also very elegant, lean, precise and straight on the palate. Powerful but balanced, the wine has a long and stimulatingly salty finish, and should go for 15 to 20 years. The taste is on the border from dry to medium-dry and goes well with white meats, risottos and poultry."Wine Advocate 91 points

"A pretty white, juicy and floral, offering finely knit flavors of persimmon, spun honey, white peach, smoky mineral and lemon preserves, with a fresh, stony finish. Drink now through 2020. 470 cases made.”Wine Spectator 91 points

Dom Weinbach Riesling Schlossberg Grand Cru 2014 Product #30322 (In Stock)
Dom Weinbach Riesling Schlossberg Grand Cru 2014 Dom Weinbach Riesling Schlossberg Grand Cru 2014

Always a favorite of ours, this year’s Riesling from the upper slopes of the great Grand Cru Schlosseberg vineyard is even more pure and intense than usual.  Big aromas and breathtaking flavors, with pear, peach, almond, and lemon drop notes that swirl across your palate.  Warm stone minerality builds towards the end and lingers on a long, mouthwatering, finish that sails on and on with wonderful delicacy for all the mid-palate power.

"From the upper part of the terraced single vineyard site, the 2014 Riesling Grand Cru Schlossberg opens with pure, intense and fresh lime flavors on the nose, and indicates a concentrated, aromatically precise and minerally articulated character that reflects the cooler nature of the Schlossberg compared to the nearby Sonnenberg Grand Cru in Niedermorschwihr. The attack on the palate is fruit intense and elegant, wide and round, but never broad or baroque. The Schlossberg combines its sappy, well-concentrated Riesling fruit with the mineral soul of the granitique cru, and finishes with lemon flavors and a lingering salinity. Very long and complex; here, you get both the salty mineral character of the graniteque soil and the ripe but coolish lime-perfume of the upper part of the south-facing Cru, which benefits from cool nights since it is located in a small valley with forests and the Weinbach stream. A great and promising Riesling."Wine Advocate 93 points

Dom Weinbach Riesling Grand Cru Schlossberg SGN 2009 375ml Product #25214 (In Stock)
Dom Weinbach Riesling Grand Cru Schlossberg SGN 2009 375ml Dom Weinbach Riesling Grand Cru Schlossberg SGN 2009 375ml

Luxurious, intense, and nearly immortal.

"Bright, pale yellow-gold. Orange flower, strawberry and glazed kumquat on the enticing nose. Pure, palate-staining flavors of cinnamon apple, pear and tea leaf carry through to a very long, smooth aftertaste. The sugar/acid balance (136 g/l residual sugar and 7.25 g/l total acidity) is truly compelling. Great wine."International Wine Cellar 94 points
