The 2011 Porter Creek Chardonnay - from 30+ year-old vines and yields of less than 2 tons per acre - is once again remarkable. This release is richer, creamier, and more round than the 2010, with generous aromas of ripe stone fruits, pineapple, vanilla, and fresh cream. Richly textured but still vibrant with ripe apple, peach, and pineapple fruit and a generous squirt of citrusy acidity to keep things fresh. A note of cream and fresh butter emerges on the long, mouthwatering, finish.
