Dom Leon Boesch Sylvaner Les Pierres Rouges 2013 Product #28705 (In Stock)
Dom Leon Boesch Sylvaner Les Pierres Rouges 2013 Dom Leon Boesch Sylvaner Les Pierres Rouges 2013

So much bad Sylvaner is made in Alsace and Germany that it's easy to overlook fantastic bottles like this.  Wonderfully dry from start to finish, it's medium-bodied frame supports nicely delineated tangy apricot, cut apple, and passion fruit aromas and flavors.  There's a touch of something waxy or exotic to the texture, but the minerality is textbook and finish long and pure.  Fine to sip on

Ch D'orschwihr Riesling Bollenberg 2011 Product #28532 (In Stock)
Ch D'orschwihr Riesling Bollenberg 2011 Ch D'orschwihr Riesling Bollenberg 2011

A lovely single-vineyard Alsace Riesling.  This beauty from Ch d'Orschwihr opens with aromas of white flowers, a touch of petrol, and slightly underripe peaches.  On the palate it's juicy, fresh and dry, but with enough body to stand up to traditional pairings with Alsace whites like sausages and other pork dishes.

Ch De Vaux Moselle Blanc "les Gryphees" 2013 Product #28706 (In Stock)
Ch De Vaux Moselle Blanc Ch De Vaux Moselle Blanc

A fresh, interesting Alsace blend of Auxerrois, Muller-Thurgau, Pinot Gris and Gewurztraminer, this opens with scents of spiced pears, fresh golden delicious apples, and soft herbs. On the palate it's a good deal more tart, with granny smith apple flavors and a tang of lemon through the mid-palate. Aromatic and interesting without being cloying, this would be great with all kids of seafood.

Trimbach Gewurtztraminer 2011 Product #27966 (In Stock)
Trimbach Gewurtztraminer 2011 Trimbach Gewurtztraminer 2011

In the fine 2011 vintage, Trimbach delivered a delicious “classic” level Gewurtz.  Generous notes of exotic sweet pea, cinnamon, nutmeg, basil, litchi, and rose petal on the nose.  Then in the mouth, this is uncommonly refreshing – who knew Gewurtz could be thirst quenching! – with great inner-mouth perfume, spice, and fruit.  Drinking well now in a round, not too dry style.

Dom Weinbach Gewurtztraminer Cuvee Theo 2010 Product #25209 (In Stock)
Dom Weinbach Gewurtztraminer Cuvee Theo 2010 Dom Weinbach Gewurtztraminer Cuvee Theo 2010

Named for Catherine Faller’s father, Theo, this classic Alsace Gewurtz comes from the Domaine's home vineyard of Clos des Capucin and a vineyard in Altenbourg. A wonderful balance of intensity and cut with open, generous, accessibility.  Exotic fruits and a strong lychee nut element are framed by baking spice and stony, smoky, mineral notes. The lip-smacking, smoke-tinged finish brings you back for another sip.

"A dry and streamlined Gewürz, with lively acidity framing flavors of pink grapefruit, cantaloupe, star fruit and lots of white pepper and pickled ginger. The fresh finish shows a briny hint of fleur de sel. Drink now through 2022."Wine Spectator 91 points

Kientzler Tokay Pinot Gris Kirchberg Grand Cru 2002 Product #27983 (In Stock)
Kientzler Tokay Pinot Gris Kirchberg Grand Cru 2002 Kientzler Tokay Pinot Gris Kirchberg Grand Cru 2002

Yes, it's really 11 years old, having matured perfectly in importer Olivier Daubresse's warehouse.  All Pinot Gris from the grand cru Kirchberg vineyard, this opens with wildly complex aromas of peach, apricot, baked pear and more.  Fantastic attack on the palate with dried fruit and smoky slate flavors and zingy acids under the tiny amount of residual sugar.  Long, layered, and complex, it's rich enough for big foods but finishes dry and mouthwatering for wonderful refreshment.

Dom Weinbach Riesling Grand Cru Schlossberg Ste Catherine 2011 Product #28773 (In Stock)
Dom Weinbach Riesling Grand Cru Schlossberg Ste Catherine 2011 Dom Weinbach Riesling Grand Cru Schlossberg Ste Catherine 2011

Stunning, stunning, stunning.

"The Weinbach 2011 Riesling Schlossberg Cuvee Sainte Catherine is alluringly scented with gentian, iris, crushed stone, fresh lime and white peach. Peach kernel and citrus pip bitterness stimulate on an expansive and otherwise polished palate that possesses by vintage standards an exceptional degree of compensatory sheer juiciness. Alkaline, smoky and stony notes add interest to the lingering and for its vintage surprisingly bright and energetic - if also faintly warm - finish. I would plan to follow this through at least 2020."Wine Advocate 91 points

Dom Weinbach Riesling Grand Cru Schlossberg SGN 2009 375ml Dom Weinbach Riesling Grand Cru Schlossberg SGN 2009 375ml

Luxurious, intense, and nearly immortal.

"Bright, pale yellow-gold. Orange flower, strawberry and glazed kumquat on the enticing nose. Pure, palate-staining flavors of cinnamon apple, pear and tea leaf carry through to a very long, smooth aftertaste. The sugar/acid balance (136 g/l residual sugar and 7.25 g/l total acidity) is truly compelling. Great wine."International Wine Cellar 94 points

Dom Weinbach Gewurztraminer Altenbourg 2010 Magnum Dom Weinbach Gewurztraminer Altenbourg 2010 Magnum

Hand crafted wine bottled in magnum by hand to our order.  As far as we know, the only example you'll find in the USA!

"Full yellow-straw. Piquant spicy lift to the aromas of peach, honey and botanical herbs. Quite sweet and silky but not at all heavy thanks to harmonious acidity. Expands impressively in the mouth, spreading out to saturate the palate. In a very mellow style and not at all exaggerated, with a positive hint of finishing bitterness providing grip on the spicy, rising finish."International Wine Cellar 92 points

"A subtle note of white truffle adds depth to flavors of dried papaya and apricot, smoke, candied citrus peel and beeswax, while zesty acidity provides fine structure and focus, leading to a long, mineral-tinged finish. Drink now through 2025."Wine Spectator 93 points
