Peirano Estate The Other Red Lodi 2012 Product #30454 (In Stock)
Peirano Estate The Other Red Lodi 2012 Peirano Estate The Other Red Lodi 2012

Not quite sure about the label, but there's definitely some sex-appeal to this big, rich, red.  A blend of Cabernet  Sauvignon, Merlot, and Syrah from California's Lodi region, this pumps out big aromas and flavors of black cherry, red plum, blackcurrant and more with subtle accents of herb and oak spice.  Creamy and mouthfilling for sure, but not heavy (just 13.7% abv) and finishing juicy and soft with a notes of pomegranate, cherry, vanilla and spice lingering.  Fun stuff!

Easton Zinfandel Amador County 2012 Product #30601 (In Stock)
Easton Zinfandel Amador County 2012 Easton Zinfandel Amador County 2012

A fine, big, chewy Zinfandel from the dry hills of Amador County.  Big brambly fruit, a touch of spice, and plenty of mouthfilling richness.  Fine value in an old school Zin.

"This beautifully balanced wine is poised, a bit reserved, but has a distinctive personality. Aromas of red cherry, cedar and cinnamon precede tangy raspberry flavors that ride on a firm but light texture and linger on through the finish."Wine Enthusiast 91 points

The Withers Ruben Sierra Foothills 2013 Product #29998 (In Stock)
The Withers Ruben Sierra Foothills 2013 The Withers Ruben Sierra Foothills 2013

Here's a stunning Rhone Ranger blend from high elevation Sierra Foothills vineyards in El Dorado.  Bandol's Mourvedre takes center stage here (86% of the blend), giving the wine dark, chocolaty, aromas and plenty of structure on the back.  Syrah adds berry fruit and richness while 6% Grenache gives lift and some red fruited fun.  Aromas of rose, crushed berries, lavender and chocolate carry through on the rich palate where a little of Mourvedre's earthy character emereges with air.  Rich and fleshy, but not heavy and perfectly poised, this is a delicious companion for lamb now and over the next 10 years or so.

The Withers Mr. Burgess Red Sierra Foothills 2010 Product #29939 (In Stock)
The Withers Mr. Burgess Red Sierra Foothills 2010 The Withers Mr. Burgess Red Sierra Foothills 2010

"Purple berries, licorice and sweet oak on the nose. Sappy, saline and serious, showing a slightly medicinal cast to the flavors of black raspberry, menthol and minerals. Not yet pliant but this very young wine has the structure and supporting minerality--and extract--to evolve gracefully. The tannins are ultimately round. This very promising set of wines comes from a joint venture between collector Andrew Tow and David Low, co-founder and winemaker of Anthill Farms. The wines all come from high-elevation vineyards in cool sites."International Wine Cellar 91 points
