The 2011 edition started out a bit closed and tight, but now it’s opened up to deliver complex, delicious, aromas and flavors of golden apple, ripe pear, lemon curd, and fennel. The lemony fruit gets a hint of kumquat and salty sea breeze on the brisk, mouthwatering, finish. Surprisingly rich-feeling in your mouth, especially given the less than 13% alcohol, this is a killer back porch sipper and better still with briny seafood or salty meats.
