- Cantina Gabriele Montepulciano d'Abruzzo 2010 (Kosher) Product #28244 (In Stock)
Mevushal Just a rock-solid take on one of Italy’s most versatile and fun to drink varietals. The key themes here are “cherry” – ripe cherries on the nose, cherry confit flavors, even a dark black cherry color – and “spice”, a classic feature of Montepulciano grapes. It’s medium-bodied, forward, and ready to drink now with lamb, brisket, and more.
- Fontezoppa Verdicchio Di Metalica 2013 Product #29252 (In Stock)
This 100% Verdicchio grown in the chalk and limestone soils of Italy's Marche region is a fantastic Pinot Grigio alternative! Bursting with bright citrus, apricot and tropical fruit aromas and flavors over tingly acidity and a fine mineral streak. Plenty of flavor here, but at just 13% abv, not a touch of heaviness. Great seafood, salad, or veggie pasta wine and a fine value, too.
Wine Enthusiast's review for the 91 point 2012 seems spot on for this new release, too: "This beautiful wine opens with a heady floral fragrance of jasmine, broom, acacia and beeswax. The palate delivers succulent creamy peach and pineapple notes, with a hint of bitter almond. The creamy palate is brightened by mouthwatering acidity and, while delicious now, this will develop additional complexity."
