Villa Jolanda Prosecco 187ml Individual Bottle Product #23927 (In Stock)
Villa Jolanda Prosecco 187ml Individual Bottle Villa Jolanda Prosecco 187ml Individual Bottle

Villa Jolanda Prosecco is made from 100% Prosecco grapes grown in the hills north of Treviso.  Grapes are hand-harvested, chilled in the vineyard, and given a low-temperature fermentation in stainless steel tanks to preserve freshness and fruit.  The wine features lovely aromas of white flowers, orchard fruits, and a touch of mineral.  Lightly sparkling with very pretty, small, bubbles, the wine is full of flavor - peach, ripe apple, lemon zest, and a nice mineral streak.  Fruity and crisp, the wine finishes with a touch of mineral and yellow apple.  A fantastic wine to keep on hand for everyday celebrations or to stock up on for Holiday parties.  Delicious!

De Angelis Falerio Doc Bianco 2012 Product #27161 (In Stock)
De Angelis Falerio Doc Bianco 2012 De Angelis Falerio Doc Bianco 2012

The Falerio DOC sits at the southern end of Marche, on Italy's Adriatic coast just East of Umbria.  The relatively new DOC was created in 1975 to promote the region's two best white wine grapes-Passerina and Pecorino-while continuing to allow use of the ubiquitous Trebbiano.

This 2012 Falerio is a fresh, young, wine with all of the refreshing, spritzy qualities of the 2011, but with an extra notch of richness.  The aromas are like sniffing limes and peaches at the beach-plenty of green and orchard fruit aromas with a saline note of the sea in the background.  On the palate, there's loads of ripe, creamy peach and nectarine fruit with a spritz of key lime juice and seltzer followed by a chalky, salty, mineral-driven, finish.  There's a lot of creamy richness here that will please fans of unoaked Chardonnays, but the zesty acidity and mineral element make this super fresh and mouthwatering.  Brilliant with a garlicky scampi and seafood but pretty darn fun to just drink at a party or with friends over antipasti.  Staggering value.

Santa Barbara Verdicchio 2013 Product #28073 (In Stock)
Santa Barbara Verdicchio 2013 Santa Barbara Verdicchio 2013

Definitely the best vintage yet for this always popular DOC Verdicchio in the traditional curvy bottle. Really bursts with dried lemon, pink grapefruit, Granny Smith apple fruit made even better by a nice dose of stony minerality and a dash of fresh herb. It glides across your palate like silk then finishes brisk and clean and fresh.  Great wine for seafood and salads or just to sip. Under-priced for the quality.

Cantele Salice Salentino Riserva 2010 Product #28569 (In Stock)
Cantele Salice Salentino Riserva 2010 Cantele Salice Salentino Riserva 2010

If you know Negromaro from Salice Salentino, you’ll recognize the aromas and flavors here.  The dark color tells you this is a ripe, deep, wine, and the aromas of dark black plum and cherry, warm licorice root, savory spice, and purple flowers reinforce that impression.  In the mouth, the flavors are bold, warming and ripe – blackberry, black cherry, hot earth, roasted meat, spice and cocoa powder – with plenty of the meaty, earthy, complexity that Salice Salentino is known for.  But, it’s the purity, clarity, and wonderful freshness of flavor and texture that take this to another level.  Ripe, not roasted.  Powerful, not rustic.  Absolutely delicious with grilled sausages, roasted meats, or just nuts and olives, at a value price hard to resist.

“Good full ruby-red. Dark cherry and graphite aromas are lifted by an enticing spicy character. Supple, spicy and sweet, offering an uncanny combination of vibrancy, fat and density. Finishes suave and long, with fine, sweet tannins and very good lift.”International Wine Cellar 90 points

Volpetti Cesanese 2013 Product #28784 (In Stock)
Volpetti Cesanese 2013 Volpetti Cesanese 2013

Even bigger, bolder, more fruit filled, and even more delicious than before (while still pretty garishly packaged).  From vineyards around Rome, the Volpetti packs a punch of lush dark damson plum and black cherry fruit with accents of earth and spice.  A short stay in old oak barrels softens the tannins and adds a hint of sweet balsamic.  Drink this a touch cool with pizza margherita, a bowl of pasta in red sauce, or even a big, juicy, burger and you'll be very, very, happy!

Cleto Chiarli Lambrusco Di Grasparossa Di Castelvetro Nv Product #28412 (In Stock)
Cleto Chiarli Lambrusco Di Grasparossa Di Castelvetro Nv Cleto Chiarli Lambrusco Di Grasparossa Di Castelvetro Nv

Really fun, slightly off-dry, Lambrusco for pizza and sipping!

"Opaque, almost impenetrable inky-purple. Plum liqueur, cassis, violet, tar, milk chocolate and graphite on the nose. Very big, dense and creamy in the mouth, with solid underlying structure giving shape to the black cherry and dark plum flavors. The tannins are broad and fine on the long, thick finish. This comes across as ripe yet fresh but ultimately chunky and monolithic, as I find Lambrusco Graspaprossa wines often are. More substance than style, if you will, and that's why many lambrusco lovers opt for this variety rather than the more perfumed but much lighter Lambrusco di Sorbara."International Wine Cellar 88 points

Here's a fantastic pizza red from southern Lombardy.  It's a distinctive blend of Barbera, Bonarda (Croatina), Uva Rara, Pinot Nero, and Cabernet Sauvignon that delivers a big mouthful of black raspberry and tart cherry fruit.  Super juicy and fresh, there's a touch of herb to go with the cherry/berry fruit and a mouthwatering finish.  Pizza with spec and rocket comes immediately to mind!

If You See Kay Red 2011 Product #27925 (In Stock)
If You See Kay Red 2011 If You See Kay Red 2011

Yes, the name and label are both "too cute", but the wine isn't.  From Italy's Lazio region near Rome, this is a huge, bold, blend of super-ripe Cabernet (mostly) plus Petite Verdot and Primitivo.  Think of it as an Italian "Prisoner" - creamy, juicy, loaded with fruit, and not for the faint of heart - and you'll have the general idea.  From winemaker Jason Woodbridge of Napa's Hundred Acre.
