- Bearboat Pinot Noir Russian River 2009 Product #27017 (In Stock)
-
-
We don't know much about Bearboat, but they sure do make a nice Russian River Pinot Noir! Made from fruit purchased from various vineyards around the Valley, vinified carefully and then given 10 months in small French oak. The wine shows pretty scents of black cherry with a bit of cassis and toast. In the mouth plenty of stawberry, raspberry and classic Russian River candied cherry fruit are complemented by some nice hints of fresh earth and smoke. The wine is nicely balanced - rich, but good freshness - and shows a pretty note of licorice on the finish. Nice wine, nice value.
- Tin Barn Zinfandel Russian River Gilsson Vyd 2010 Product #26549 (In Stock)
-
-
This bold, rich, single-vineyard Zinfandel starts off with big Holiday aromas - black plum pudding, clove studded orange, and blackberry pie. In the mouth it's ripe and full-bodied but not nearly as super-sized as the WS review suggests (but every bit as tasty! Fine value, but not much to go around!
"A Zin for those who love them big, rich and very ripe. Floral black currant and spice aromas open to succulent and jammy black cherry and toasty caramel flavors. Drink now through 2018. 421 cases made."Wine Spectator 91 points
- David Noyes Pinot Noir Russian River 2008 Product #25869 (In Stock)
-
-
David Noyes has been around the wine business for years, starting at Ridge then working overseas before returning to the US to help launch Kunde Estate in 1989. He's been making his own wines since 2001, but sells most everything at the winery to long-time fans. It's a treat to get our hands on a little of his Russian River Pinot Noir, a blend of fruit from three vineyards that delivers loads of classic Russian River candied cherry fruit and spice. There's a little more heft and weight here than in some RR Pinots, but everything's nicely balanced and in sync. This would be outstanding with duck, salmon, or anything with mushrooms!
- Joseph Swan Pinot Noir Rrv Cuvee De Trois 2010 Product #26803 (In Stock)
-
-
Joseph Swan made his first wine in Sonoma’s Russian River Valley in 1968, and his ground breaking work with Zinfandel and Pinot Noir helped make the region’s name. Today, his son-in-law makes tiny quantities of honest, hand-crafted, wines that tend to get snapped up in California or at the winery. This is a beauty, lacy and pure with high-toned red berry fruit, spice, earth, and a long, mouthwatering, perfumed, finish. Limited.
- Small Vines Russian River Pinot Noir 2009 Product #25998 (In Stock)
-
-
I find this to perfectly marry classic Russian River fruit with a precision and grace more commonly found in Oregon or even Burgundy. Lovely now and able to improve for 5+ years.
"Sexy, high-pitched aromas of wild red berries, Asian spices, rose petal and lavender. Fresh and sharply delineated, offering a silky texture and concentrated red fruit and candied rose flavors. Shows very good depth but this is carrying no fat. The long finish features gentle, fine-grained tannins and lingering floral and spice notes."International Wine Cellar 91 points
- Small Vines Russian River Pinot Noir 2010 Product #26822 (In Stock)
-
-
From a small vineyard Paul planted just behind his and wife Kathryn’s home outside of Sebastopol. The vines are still fairly young – all less than 10 years old now – but the potential is immense. The 2010 is darker fruited than previous vintages and starting to shut down a bit, but still delivers lovely aromatics and precise, detailed, Pinot flavors.
“Light, bright red. Strawberry and blood orange on the intensely perfumed nose, along with Asian spices and smoky minerals. Deeper and darker on the palate, offering silky red and dark berry liqueur flavors, with tangy minerality adding vivacity. Lithe, precise pinot, finishing with alluring sweetness and very good persistence.”International Wine Cellar 91 points
“Weaves a complex mix of ripe cherry, huckleberry, crushed rock and dried berry, gaining depth and length on the long, detailed finish. Drink now through 2021. 263 cases made.”Wine Spectator 91 points
- Paul Hobbs Chardonnay Russian River 2010 Product #26124 (In Stock)
-
-
Another fine vintage from one of California's most consistent and delicious Chardonnays.
"Green-tinged yellow. Strongly perfumed aromas of lime zest, melon and peach pit, with a zesty mineral underpinning. Lively citrus flavors give way to deeper honeydew and pear with air, picking up a suave honeysuckle note. Shows a suave blend of depth and vivacity, finishing very good cut and clarity."International Wine Cellar 91 points
"The 2010 Chardonnay is gorgeous in this vintage. It shows fabulous depth and richness, with less of the overtness of the 2009. I especially like the cut and focus that are such a large part of the wine’s personality. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2018."Wine Advocate 90 points
"Exhibiting layers of rich, creamy fig, melon, smoke, white flowers and honeysuckle, this is full-bodied, yet elegant and graceful. Drink now through 2018."Wine Spectator 92 points
- Williams Selyem Chardonnay Unoaked 2010 Product #27131 (In Stock)
-
-
Unoaked Chardonnay is a relatively new style for Williams Selyem, and it's a great example of how delicious Russian River Valley fruit can be with no oak or malolactic fermentation.
"Pale gold. Spicy pear and orange aromas show impressive clarity and vivacity. Concentrated but light on its feet, offering intense citrus and orchard fruit flavors that become sappier with air. Finishes tangy and very long, with resonating mineral and floral notes."International Wine Cellar 91 points

Made from 95% estate fruit, the Russian River Valley Pinot showcases the dark cherry flavors and silky finish that makes this region famous.
"Vivid red. Fragrant, highly perfumed bouquet evokes raspberry, gingerbread and fresh rose. Juicy and lithe, offering tangy red fruit flavors that display very good spicy lift and cut. Sweeter on the very persistent finish, leaving a deep cherry quality behind."International Wine Cellar 91 points
