- Estacion Cabernet Sauvignon Chile 2013 Product #29608 (In Stock)
Estacion is the even better value line from the solid Chilean value winery Estampa. It's not easy taming Chilean Cabernet's sometimes aggressive herbal aromas/flavors without veering off into over-ripeness or needing high-toast oak to add a little depth. So, this all tank, all Cabernet Sauvignon, is a wonderful surprise!
Even better than the 2012, this opens with juicy aromas of black cherry, currant, dried herb and cocoa that stay clear and juicy on the creamy-textured, palate. There's plenty of fresh cherry and currant fruit on the palate with a touch of cocoa and herb. The flavors linger nicely over fine, soft, tannins at the end. True Cab Sauv character here in a delicious, clean, style for sipping, parties, and more!
- Riebeek Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon 2014 Product #30212 (In Stock)
We're not sure how in the world a Cabernet this good could be priced this low, but one taste will make you a fan. It's 100% Cabernet Sauvignon grown in South Africa's Swartland region and then aged in French oak before bottling. Swartland is famous for its velvety smooth reds, and words like plush supple certainly apply here. Pumps out rich black currant, blackberry, cedar, and chocolate aromas and flavors before finishing fresh, juicy, and soft. Outstanding value.
