Worthy’s Sophia’s Cuvee is the second wine of Axios, a Napa “cult Cabernet” producer best known for its $125 flagship Cab. It’s been one of our best-selling Napa Cabs ever since its 2001 debut vintage earned 92 points and a place on Wine Spectator’s Top 100 list. Since then, it’s been a super-reliable bottle of Napa Cab with ripe, supple, currant, smoke and green herb flavors and a darkly fruited finish.
Now, the 2007 vintage has arrived and there’s been a BIG step up! Maybe it’s just the vintage – 2007 is one of the best ever in Napa – but this Worthy is exploding with black currant, blackberry and black plum fruit sweetened with a generous dash of sweet baking spice and a sprinkle of dusty cocoa and shaved bitter chocolate. Mouth filling and rich, the 2007 Worth remains graceful and elegant and oh so easy to drink. A winner and a great value."The 2007 Sophia’s Cuvee (a 8,000-case blend of 82% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc, and Malbec) is a big-time sleeper of the vintage. An outstanding example of Napa Bordeaux varietals, it displays loads of white chocolate, creme de cassis, licorice, and a touch of subtle smoke in a medium to full-bodied style. Silky tannins, flesh, and plenty of concentration characterize this wine, which has no hard edges. It is a beauty to drink over the next 5-7 years."Wine Advocate 90 points
- White Rock Vineyards Cabernet Napa Laureate 2007 Product #26738 (In Stock)

Old-fashioned Napa Cabernet from very up-to-date, but respectful of history, wine growers working in Napa's Soda Canyon. The vines grow on terraces up the side of the Canyon and get minimal water and no chemical fertilizers or herbicides. The natural vineyard work continues in the winery (6000 sq ft of caves quarried to build the winery house) where the wines rest until ready to release.
The Laureate Cabernet comes from the highest elevation Cabernet vines and opens with youthful aromas of red currant, tobacco leaf, fresh herb, eucalyptus and coffee. In the mouth it's rich and bright with plenty of red fruit and spice. The finish is long, persistent and firm with ripe fruit flavors lingering nicely. Tasty now and better over the next decade plus. - Verite La Muse Red 2007 Product #25051 (In Stock)

Very Limited
"A perfect wine, this blend of 85% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc and 5% Malbec emerges from Chalk Hill (48%), Knight’s Valley (21%), Alexander Mountain Estate (21%) and Bennett Valley (10%). Another prodigious effort, its extraordinary sweet notes of caramelized herbs, mocha, coffee, blackberries and cassis are followed by a multilayered, full-bodied wine revealing a seamless integration of acidity, tannin, alcohol and wood, and an opulent, voluptuous finish that goes on and on. It is thrilling to smell, taste and drink. Moreover, it possesses a similar seamlessness also found in the 2002 and 2001. Because of that, it can be drunk now for its primary attractions or cellared for another 30+ years."Wine Advocate 100 points
