- Errazuriz Carmenere Max Reserva 2014 Product #31094 (In Stock)
A great example of the old Bordeaux varietal Carmenere as grown in meticulously farmed vineyards in Chile. Fresh blue and black fruit gets lift and complexity from a handful of tobacco and dried herb and support from firm, lightly chewy, tannins. A fine match for lamb and excellent value.
"A fresh and dry carmenere with medium body, firm tannins and a subtle, fruity finish. Drink now." James Suckling 91 points
"Taut and minerally, with notes of green pepper to the dried berry and red fruit flavors. Accents of dark chocolate show on the tannic finish."Wine Spectator 89 points
- Vina Maquis Viola 2009 Product #29468 (In Stock)
Here's a stunning blend of Chile's unique Carmenere blended with 15% Cabernet Franc. Carmenere gives the wine loads of dark red fruit - black plum, cherry, and raspberry - exotic spice, and a rich, voluptuous, texture. The Cabernet Franc provides lift to the aromas and flavors and adds grace notes of crushed herb, tobacco, and black pepper. Powerful and very deep, it finishes firm and rich with dark fruit, herb, and floral notes lingering. A "wow" wine to enjoy with rich foods or on its own.
