Klemens Weber Riesling Halbtrocken 2015 1 Liter Product #31159 (In Stock)
Klemens Weber Riesling Halbtrocken 2015 1 Liter Klemens Weber Riesling Halbtrocken 2015 1 Liter

Good thing this comes in an extra-large bottle, because one taste of this fruity (and nearly dry!) Riesling and you’ll be ready to gulp it down.  From a fine grower in Germany's Pfalz region, this is perfectly ripe Riesling allowed to ferment a little longer than a Spatelese or Kabinett wine would.  The longer ferment gives it a bit more body then you might expect from German Riesling while retaining so much juicy, mouthwatering, acidity that you can barely detect the tiny but of residual sugar.  Loads of classic pear and peach flavors accented by floral notes and a pretty lime skin element. Drink it on its own after a hard day of work or play or give it a try with turkey or ham or Asian foods.

Tegernseerhof Riesling Federspiel Terrassen 2015 Product #31240 (In Stock)
Tegernseerhof Riesling Federspiel Terrassen 2015 Tegernseerhof Riesling Federspiel Terrassen 2015

Dry Riesling doesn't get much better than what you'll find at Martin Mittelbach's small winery in the Wachau.  And his Terrassen 2015 is a great introduction to the house style.  From terraced vineyards up high - for vibrancy - and lower down the slopes - for richness - this is Riesling that Sancerre and Albarino drinkers will love.  Loaded with stone fruit (peach), lime zest, and crushed slate aromas and flavors, the 2015 Terrassen drives across your palate with vibrant cut and a long, dry, mouthwatering finish.  An exciting wine already and better still in 2017 and 2018.

Pewsey Vale Riesling 2015 Product #30067 (In Stock)
Pewsey Vale Riesling 2015 Pewsey Vale Riesling 2015

Is this the greatest bone-dry Riesling in the world?  It's in the running, but it runs away with "best value" honors in the category and may hold the record for the most 90+ point ratings.  Intense lemon-lime, chalk, and floral herb aromas lead to a sizzling, dry, palate of yellow-green citrus, ginger, white pepper, peach, and more.  Finishes stony, long, and bone dry with a lingering touch of honeysuckle and lime zest.  Brilliant stuff.

Peter Lauer Riesling Barrel X Saar 2015 Product #30904 (In Stock)
Peter Lauer Riesling Barrel X Saar 2015 Peter Lauer Riesling Barrel X Saar 2015

The review below is for 2014.  The 2015 is even better and simply not to be missed!  Here's the 93 point review for the 2014:  "Untamed Saar Riesling with a lovely slate aroma and a very sappy and piquant taste. It is lovely juicy and sweet, but also very elegant, and a nothing but lovely type of Kabinett, although Floran Lauer does not want to name it like this because predicates are used only for sweet wines."

Trimbach Riesling 2013 Product #31157 (In Stock)
Trimbach Riesling 2013 Trimbach Riesling 2013

Fine, dry, almost savory Riesling from one of the world's great estates.

"Pale straw-green. Lime and orange oil on the perfumed, deep nose. Bright and clean on the palate, with zippy acidity providing lift and definition to the chamomile and licorice flavors. Finishes crisp, dry and long. Made from grapes grown mainly around Ribeauvillé, the rest from St. Hippolyte and Thann--and a tiny bit from the Bas-Rhin. For an entry-level Riesling, this is carrying a rather amazing 26 grams per liter of dry extract."  Vinous (D'Agata) 89 points

Monchhof Riesling Spatlese Mosel Slate 2014 Monchhof Riesling Spatlese Mosel Slate 2014

Classic Mosel freshness and verve to go with the ripe fruit and luscious texture.

"Mosel Slate” is the nickname long prominent on the label of Eymael’s Treppchen Spätlese. Site-typical sassafras-laced lime and orange penetrate the nose and inform a palate sorbet-like in its alluring combination of lusciousness, polish and cooling refreshment. The finish reflects adept integration of sweetness and highly satisfying persistence.Wine Advocate 89 points

Tegernseerhof Riesling Steiner Pfaffenberg 2013 Tegernseerhof Riesling Steiner Pfaffenberg 2013

Simply INSANE value here in this bone dry, very stylish, Riesling from Austria's Wachau region.  Big aromas and flavors of ripe yellow peach drenched in fresh lime juice with dry, dusty, slate minerality and a hint of fresh fruit blossoms.  Palate-coating and intense through the mid-palate and then stony, zesty, and very long through the mouthwatering finish. Should cost 2x this amount.

JJ Prum Riesling Graacher Himmelreich Kabinett 2012 JJ Prum Riesling Graacher Himmelreich Kabinett 2012

Crackling fresh Riesling with loads of salty minerality.

"The 2012 Graacher Himmelreich Riesling Kabinett (AP #02 14) is one of just three Kabinett wines of the vintage (Estate and Badstube are the other two). With spring-like aromas of white fruits and flinty slate flavors, it opens bright and clear like a prelude from Johann Sebastian Bach on the nose. Very delicate, light, piquant and absolutely stimulating on the palate, this filigreed yet firmly structured and persistently salty wine is absolutely delicious!"Wine Advocate 92 points

Dom Weinbach Riesling Schlossberg Ste Catherine 2012 Dom Weinbach Riesling Schlossberg Ste Catherine 2012

Drinking beautifully now with plenty of runway in front of it.

"Straw yellow color. Bright piercing aromas of white stone fruit, lemon verbena and candied kumquat. Then light and lively thanks to bright acids extending the candied apple flavors on the long finish. Sneaky concentration and very refined, this is a knockout wine and much better than the Ste.Catherine. Always the latest Riesling grapes to be harvested for dry wine production."  Vinous (D'Agata) 93 points

Luxurious, intense, and nearly immortal.

"Bright, pale yellow-gold. Orange flower, strawberry and glazed kumquat on the enticing nose. Pure, palate-staining flavors of cinnamon apple, pear and tea leaf carry through to a very long, smooth aftertaste. The sugar/acid balance (136 g/l residual sugar and 7.25 g/l total acidity) is truly compelling. Great wine."International Wine Cellar 94 points
