- Eric Rodez Empreinte De Terroir 1998 Pinot Noir Product #21270 (In Stock)
Extremely Limited! Eric Rodez's top wines - the Empreinte de Terrior - are intended to showcase the distinctive quality and character of his Grand Cru Pinot Noir and Chardonnay vineyards. This wine is 100% Pinot Noir grown by Eric on a small plot of vineyards in the middle of the hill of Ambonnay. It is very serious fizz - every bit the equal of Tete de Cuvee wines from Champagne’s most famous winemakers but at a fraction of the price.
The wine shows a copper-tinged color with extremely fine bubbles. Aromas of cherries, red flowers, and toast explode from the glass. In the mouth it’s extremely deep, rich, and robust with complex flavors of red fruits, graphite and baked bread. The flavors drive to a seemingly endless finish as hints of red raspberry and toast linger. While fascinating to drink on its own, this would pair wonderfully with duck or any dish featuring wild mushrooms. Distinctive and delicious.
