Tokaji, the famous Hungarian dessert wine, is rich, luscious, complex -- and often veryexpensive! The Late Harvest cuvee from the outstanding Tokaji producer Oremus delivers a lot of Tokaji character at a reasonable price. The Oremus Late Harvest Tokaji is only released in good Tokaji vintages and is always a fine value -- the last two releases -- 2002 and 2004 vintages -- earned 92 and 90 points from Wine Spectator. The wine is rich and medium-sweet, with caramel, vanilla, honey and spice notes around the apricot and passion fruit core. It's smooth and balanced, with a hint of orange on the finish.
