Another great value from “The Other Guys” - Don Sebastiani and sons. This is 100% Napa Valley Cab fruit from low-yield, hillside, vineyards in mid- to northern Napa. The late-picked fruit was given a long maceration and then 24 months in small French oak barrels. Classic aromas and flavors of black cherry and cassis intermingle with pretty sage, rosemary, and a touch of clove spice. The tannins are silky and firm, making this easy to drink now and more than able to improve for 5 years or so in cellar. A great match for steak, roast beef, and lamb! Only 20 cases available.
