There are some great values coming out of the Southern Rhone these days, and this is one of them. Just what a wine of this class should be - juicy, fresh, and very easy to drink. A blend of 70% Grenache and 30% Syrah, the wine is fermented and aged entirely in stainless steel tank. It's crimson red with a generous nose of cassis, blackberry, garrigues, leather and smoke. Medium-full in body with moderate acidity and soft tannins, the wine offers flavors of black currant, blackberry, white pepper and anise. Warm and rich with intense fruit, it is beautifully balanced to enjoy now and over the next 5-6 years. The finish is long, rich and aromatic. This is very flexible with food, but will shine with roasted chicken, grilled meats, mushrooms, pastas and cheeses. Or pizza. Or burgers. Oh, just drink it!
