Bodega y Viñedos San Polo was founded in the 1930s but is really just coming into its own in recent years. Their 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon "Piuquenes" refers to the first Indians who lived in the Mendoza’s southern region of San Carlos.
This is a ripe, fresh, Cabernet Sauvignon with notes of spice, fresh herb, black plum and ripe raspberry on the nose and palate. The sweet fruit is nestled in a medium-bodied, creamy, framework that alows the wine to drink nicely on its own or with burgers or any casual food. Nice value, too!
