A Gem of a Sparkler, Value Chard, and Blind Tasting of California Cabs – Free Friday and Saturday Tastings This Week!

Here’s a special treat for everyone who has to stay in town the weekend after July 4th (or come back early from a well-deserved summer break).  Join us from 3-7pm on Friday, July 6 and noon-4pm on Saturday, July 7, and taste some delicious wines and try out your blind-tasting skills, too.  We’ll be pouring:

Jose Michel & Fils Brut Tradition NV – Keep the 4th of July sparklers shining with this pure and delicious “grower” Champagne of 70% Pinot Meunier and 30% Chardonnay.  Loads of fruit, toast, and citrus.

Roblar Chardonnay California 2017
– Tastes like a $30 California Chardonnay with a nice dose of rich, buttery, fruit and a kiss of oak.  We’re skeptical that any barrels were involved here, but we know the wine is a steal from $8.98!

A 95 Point Italian Gem – We’ll release more information on this tomorrow, but trust us: a wine (and deal) not to miss!

Poppy Cabernet Sauvignon Paso Robles 2016
vs
Quilt Cabernet Sauvignon Napa 2015 – When we served this pair during our last Cheap vs Expensive blind tasting, two thirds of tasters thought Poppy was the more expensive wine.  More than that preferred it – impressive since Quilt carries a suggested retail of $45 and Poppy is on sale from $10.98!  We’ll pour them from bagged bottles for you and see if you can tell which is which.  And which is the better deal…

As always, we’ll have a treat or two from the cheese case out to sample with the wines and best, mix/match, savings on all the wines during the tasting.  Join us!
