Spotlight on Patricia Green Cellars with Melissa Groshong

Calling all fans of great American Pinot Noir!  Because you won’t want to miss this chance to sample seven great Willamette Valley Pinots (plus a snappy Sauvignon Blanc) from Oregon’s benchmark Patricia Green Cellars.  National Sales Director Melissa Groshong will be on hand to share the story of this outstanding estate and recent Willamette Valley vintages.  Melissa will share seven great wines from vintages 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016.  This is an exciting opportunity to see how Patty and Jim’s vision and hard work translate into bottled wine from four exciting vintages.  Whether you’re a long-time Willamette Valley Pinot Noir fan or just looking to get to know American’s most exciting wine region, this is a class you’ll love attending.  Check out the full wine list and reserve your seats online at this link!

Spotlight on Paso Robles Trends with Linne Calodo Asst Winemaker Meghan Balll
Sunday, April 22 @ 4pm  |  Course Fee $35

Meghan Ball is the perfect person to help us understand why Paso Robles is just about the most exciting growing region in California these days.  With stints at Jean Georges Group’s restaurants in New York and more than 4 years as an assistant winemaker and wine educator in Paso, she understands Paso wines as a consumer and producer – and she knows how to share that knowledge with us!

We’ll be developing the wine list over the next few weeks, but we know it will go heavy on Rhone varietals (Syrah, Mourvedre, and Grenache red and white) and include a few selections from Meghan’s Linne Calodo wines.  See all the details and reserve your seats online here.

Spotlight on Produttori del Barbaresco Riserva 2013s with Vias Wines' Jim Hutton
Sunday, April 29 @ 4pm  |  Course Fee $55 - SOLD OUT!  - Taking wait list requests and looking at adding a second session Sunday, May 6.  Let us know if you're interested!

As Antonio Galloni said after tasting through these spectacular wines: “I was blown away by these wines from the Produttori del Barbaresco. The straight 2014 Barbaresco is sublime, while the 2013 Riservas are off the charts.  Under the direction of Managing Director Aldo Vacca, the Produttori are making some of the most distinguished wines in their history. Best of all, the Riservas remain exceptionally well priced for the quality and consistency they offer. It is virtually impossible to go wrong with any of the 2013 Riservas.”

As Galloni suggests, the best way to choose which of the 9 great 2013 Riserva’s to take home is to taste them yourself – and we’re going to make at least 6 of them available to try in this class! See the full wine list and reserve your seats online at this link today.

Spotlight on Bedrock Wine Co. with Partner Chris Cottrell
Thursday, May 3 @ 7pm  | Course Fee $40

Morgan Twain-Peterson’s Bedrock Wine Co. is just about the most exciting new estate working with Zinfandel and field blends since Turley and…well, since Morgan’s dad, Joel Peterson, founded Ravenswood.  Their 2016 releases are every bit as exciting, especially the estate’s top “field blend” reds from ancient vines of 80-100+  years of age.  And the story is almost as exciting as the wines – as you’ll see when you join us and Morgan’s partner, Chris Cottrell, for one of the most exciting and delicious tastings of California wines we’ll do all year.  We’ll taste six wines and learn all about this fine steward of some of American’s most ancient vines.  See the full wine list and reserve your seats online here now.

Spotlight on Oregon's Walter Scott Wines with Partner Erica Landon
Tuesday, May 22 @ 7pm  |  Course Fee $40

We’re fortunate to get to visit Oregon’s Willamette Valley annually and spend time with a great mixture of veteran and up-and-coming winemakers.  No visit is more exciting than Walter Scott Wines.  The husband/wife team of Ken Pahlow & Erica Landon started making wine in a corner of Patty Green’s cellar about a decade ago.  Now they have their own small winery and have emerged as makers of some of Oregon’s most refined and classically styled Pinot Noirs…and as leaders in the resurgence of Willamette Valley Chardonnay. Plus, both Ken and Erica are just really cool people who are a blast to taste with and get to know!  As you’ll discover yourself when you join us for this exciting tasting of Ken and Erica’s stellar 2016 releases.  See all the details and reserve your seats online today!
