Villa Jolanda Holiday Sparkling Wine NV
– The pretty Prosecco (in all but name) in the festive holiday bottle will be open to taste and available to take home from $10.98.  Just a few cases left…

Frank Family Vineyards Chardonnay Carneros 2015 – Big, bold, buttery Chardonnay in a robust, old-school, California style and offered at very attractive savings, too!

Bodegas Remelluri Rioja Reserva 2010 – A bold and beautiful Rioja Reserva that combines the kind of complexity and depth you’d expect from the 95 point rating (Suckling) with a sweet homecoming story that’s perfect for the season.

Union Sacre Cabernet Sauvignon Le Confident 2016
– An exciting Cabernet Sauvignon bargain from just  $25.98.

Quinta De La Rosa Lote 601 Ruby Reserve NV (500ml) – Easily the most delicious Ruby Port I’ve ever tasted – and tastier still at just $16.98!

A bit of something for everyone on the Friday table, and all available at best, mix-match, savings.  Join us!

Get to Know John Grimsley’s Le Storie Wines With Five Fantastic Selections – Saturday, December 16 from noon-4pm

We’ve known John for years, first from his work with Italian specialists Winebow and then from this stint at another fine Virginia distributor.  This year, John has launched his own import/distribution company called Le Storie Wines.  And folks, he’s crushing it.  We’ve loved pretty much everything John has showed us so far from this small, carefully curated, book and we know you’ll love the wines, too.  So join us this Saturday from noon-4pm to meet John, taste some great wines, and hear the “Storie!”  We’ll pour:

Union Sacre Riesling Fraulein San Luis Obispo 2016
- Dry, complex, and at 13.3% abv, a nice cross between Alsatian ripeness and German cut.  Delicious stuff.

Amalie Robert Chardonnay Cameo 2012
- One of our favorite Oregon estates now comes to us through John, and one sip of this double 90-point Chardonnay will convince you:  Chardonnay and the Willamette Valley are a fine, fine, fit.

Boniperti Nebbiolo Carlin Colline Novaresi 2015 - A huge staff favorite, this fruit-filled, silky, nicely grippy "Alto Piemonte" Nebbiolo is just delicious fun.

Roccolo Grassi Valpolicella Superiore 2013 - Not a "Ripasso," but with an extra layer of richness from 50% air dried grapes (like Amarone), this is a rare "luxury" Valpolicella and really delicious tonight.

Union Sacre Cabernet Sauvignon Le Confident 2016
– Crazy delicious and wildly under-priced, this is one of the most exciting new Cabs we tasted from California in years.

We’ll have some treats from the cheese case out to sample with the wines and great mix/match savings during the tasting.  Come by, meet John, and get to know these remarkable wines.
