- Cape Original Chenin Blanc Western Cape 2017 Product #33120 (In Stock)
-
-
South Africans used to call Chenin Blanc "Steen" and make it fruity and fun and cheap enough to drink anytime they were thirsty. This harks back to those days, if in a much better made, crisp, and fully dry style. Loads of rich and tangy lemon curd and fresh tangerine fruit make up the core flavors and aromas with hints of pineapple and Yellow Delicious for complexity.
At just 12.5% alcohol, this isn't heavy or fleshy, but it does have great body and a nice depth across the middle before finishing crisp, clean, dry and delicious. The kind of bottle you'll open so you can put a cup of wine in a dish and then be surprised to notice that all the wine is gone an hour later. - Gatao Vinho Verde NV Product #17328 (In Stock)
-
-
The Gatão is one of the most emblematic wines of the Vinhos Verdes Region. Young and fruity. Smooth, delicate, and fresh; a fun medium-dry wine meant to be enjoyed on the in the dog days of summer.
- Vina Siegel Crucero Chardonnay 2017 Product #33034 (In Stock)

-
What a find! Vina Siegel has delivered solid value from Chile's Colchagua Valley for years, but this 2016 Chardonnay under the super-value Crucero - "Crossroads" - label is the best we've tried yet. This is a rich, fruit-filled, Chardonnay with plenty of ripe orchard fruits, pineapple and mango aromas and flavors. A short stay in oak adds vanilla, coconut and spice accents that add complexity to the richly textured mid-palate and length to the fruity vanilla finish. An exceptional value in rich, nicely oaked, and very smooth Chardonnay with plenty of fruit and a fresh, dry, finish.

- Paul D Gruner Veltliner 2016 1.0l Product #31943 (In Stock)
-
-
Paul Direder's deliciously uncomplicated wines just keep getting better. The 2016 Gruner Veltliner in its party-friendly liter screwcap bottle features refreshing aromas of green apple, fresh peach, and orange-tinged citrus. You’ll love how the ripe apple, pear, and pineapple fruit gets lifted across your palate by a faint accent of spicy ginger. Your mouth will water as the clean, fresh, stone and orchard fruit flavors just get fresher from lingering notes of lemon and lime. A great poolside and party value!
- Ch La Roche St. Jean Blanc 2016 Product #32200 (In Stock)
-
-
A staff and customer favorite! This white Bordeaux starts with aromas of just-squeezed lemon and fresh cut grass. On the palate, there’s a nice, juicy hit of riper Meyer lemon that comes in, and the whole thing finishes mouthwateringly clean. While many white Bordeaux are blended with Semillon and Muscadelle to add waxy weight or fruitiness, Ch La Roche St Jean is 100% Sauvignon Blanc. There’s no oak to hide all that tangy fruit, and it’s a very reasonable 13.0% alcohol. If you’ve shied away from New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc because of its over-the-top grapefruitiness or overwhelming, pungent passionfruit flavors, this is the perfect SB for you.
- Cadastres Picpoul De Pinet 2016 Product #32101 (In Stock)
-
-
If you thought this was good in the past - WOW! 2016 is truly a great vintage across France, including for the 100% estate grown Picpoul de Pinet. You’ll find pretty aromas of white flowers, lemon/lime citrus, and anise/fennel notes to start. Then a crisp, minerally, texture with tart granny smith apple, green melon, and lemon/lime flavors and a clean, dry, finish. This is just a great all-around, delicious, white, with enough flavor and body to shine by itself at a party and enough complexity and depth to pair well with freshwater fish and lighter poultry dishes. Tremendous value!
- Ca Donini Pinot Grigio 2016 Product #32729 (In Stock)
-
-
A very fine Pinot Grigio value to enjoy for casual sipping and pour at parties. Offers up clean, fresh, aromas of apple and melon with a hint of honeysuckle. The flavors follow the aromas and pick up a touch of pear and fresh flowers on the palate. Enough weight that it will show well with light or casual food and a lemony, fresh, finish that's thirst-quenching and fun. Enjoy!
- Joubert Oak Lane Chenin Sauvignon Blanc Stellenbosch 2016 Product #32784 (In Stock)
-
-
Unusual blend here but, once you taste it, you'll wonder why you don't see it more often! 70% Chenin Blanc gives ripe melon and apple fruit and good, rich, body. 30% Sauvignon Blanc adds pretty white grapefruit accents and a touch of fresh herb. The texture is pretty luxurious and the finish salty, stony, and refreshing. A very nice value for sipping and parties and fine match for seafood, too!
- Lexicon Sauvignon Blanc Marlborough 2016 Product #32531 (In Stock)
-
-
A fresh, fun, Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc value with just a bit of a twist. You'll find plenty of classic Kiwi character here, with a big dose of cut grass, ripe green melon and sweet/sour citrus. But the grapefruit runs more Ruby Red than white and the generous texture keeps the wine from turning sharp or astringent. Terrific sipper, great with seafood, and just a fine all-around value.
- Charles Thomas Cotes Du Rhone Blanc 2016 Product #32951 (In Stock)
-
-
What a great value in refreshing, aromatic, and fun-to-drink white wine! While Charles Thomas wines are always great values, it's not because they don't work hard in their vineyards. This is a ripe, rich, blend of organically farmed Grenache Blanc (70%), Rousanne (15%), Marsanne (10%), and Viognier (5%), all made fresh and clean in stainless steel. Lovely aromas of fresh white peach, tangy apricot, lime zest and white flowers open the show. In the mouth, there's good weight here - due to the high quality Roussanne grape - but also a crisp, clean, feel, to the juicy peach, apricot, lemon and honeysuckle flavors. Finishes dry and dusty and very inviting. A fine sipper and match for all kinds of lighter foods.
- Campet Ste Marie Chardonnay Pays d'Oc France 2015 Product #33185 (In Stock)
-
-
We think of France's Languedoc as a hot region built to turn out hearty reds. But Limoux, just south of Carcassonne, is higher and cooler than most of the rest of Languedoc with chalky limestone soils and cooling Mediterranean breezes - perfect for fine Chardonnay! And this one is very fine indeed, made from just ripe-enough fruit (13.5 alcohol) that is fermented cool and aged 9 months in used French oak.
Pretty aromas of stone fruit, citrus and oak spice lead to a round, fleshy, mouthful of Honeycrisp apple and baked pear flavors accented by notes of lemon curd and toasted nut. The fruit turns more white (peach, apricot, apple) on the finish with a touch of fresh butter and refreshing, vibrant, acids. A fine Bourgogne Blanc and Macon alternative to enjoy with salads, seafood and poultry or just to sip on its own. Outstanding value, too! - Le Paradou Viognier 2016 Product #32662 (In Stock)
-
-
Too often inexpensive Viognier veers toward the cloying and blowsy, but not this fresh little beauty from the south of France. Le Paradou opens with lovely aromas of honeysuckle and tropical fruits, but on the palate those tropical fruit aromas become crisp, but still-ripe flavors of pineapple and juicy orange. This strikes just the balance that an inexpensive, aromatic white should: it's assertive enough to be interesting, but won't overpower everyday food. At a reasonable 13% alcohol, it's balanced enough to pair beautifully with Asian takeout or an entree salad.
- St Kilda Chardonnay 2017 Product #33154 (In Stock)
-
-
Pretty much exactly what you hope for (but don't often get) in a fine value Chardonnay: refreshing, fruit filled, and balanced. Enjoy the aromas of ripe pineapple and golden delicious apple. Then enjoy those same ripe fruit flavors along with just a hint of oak, just enough to round out the flavors and add a hint of nutty complexity. It finishes fresh and mouthwateringly clean. Delicious value!
- Kellerei Kaltern Caldaro Pinot Grigio 2016 Product #32372 (In Stock)
-
-
If you loved the 2015 vintage from this perennial favorite Pinot Grigio producer, you’ll flip for the 2016. All those same lovely aromas of peaches and white flowers, and beautiful ripe, mouthfilling flavors of juicy pear, honey crisp apple and mouthwaterng citrus. There’s just an extra zing of tangy refreshment this year, making this the perfect accompaniment to a wide variety of foods from salads to Thai food. With a lovely, dense texture, this is not the watery, bland Pinot Grigio you might expect at this price!
"Very floral and fresh aromas with lightly cooked pear. Full body, layered and flavorful. A wealth of character and intensity." James Suckling 92 points
- Henri Bourgeois Sauvignon Petit Bourgeois 2016 Product #32523 (In Stock)
-
-
Basically a “baby Sancerre”, this exciting young Sauvignon Blanc is grown on the same chalky slate soils you’ll find across Sancerre from 10-40 year-old vines, fermented in stainless steel and allowed to rest 3 months on the fine lees. The vineyard is located just outside the legal boundary of Sancerre, but the flavors make you feel right in the middle!
Generous, fresh, aromas of fresh flowers, just cut grass, white grapefruit, and a hint of wet stones burst from the glass. Then you’ll find a tad more richness and zest to the crisp citrus and green apple fruit, tangy gooseberry, and fresh grass. As the refreshing acidity wells up to make your mouth water, a bit of Sancerre’s trademark “gun flint” character shows underneath the juicy bright fruit. There’s a wonderful rich/brisk, sweet/sour contrast in this wine that will delight and fascinate with every sip. Served cold, it’s thirst quenching and refreshing. Let it warm up a touch and it’s layered, complex, and a fantastic match for seafood, fresh vegetables, and – of course – goat cheese. - Quinta Da Raza Alvarinho Trajadura Vinho Verde 2016 Product #33085 (In Stock)
-
-
If you think about Vinho Verde at all, you probably think of light-bodied, tart and tangy, whites with a prickle of gas to enjoy in mid-summer heat with cold shrimp or a salad. But this blend of Portugal’s Vinho Verde region’s two best grapes – Alvarinho and Trajadura is a bit more and better than that. In fact, in the nearly perfect 2016 growing season, it’s a wine that both exemplifies and transcends its home and style. It’s a Vinho Verde for drinking all year ‘round.
Pour a glass and you’ll admire the clear, crisp, light yellow/green color (while “Vinho Verde” really means “young wine,” there’s definitely a touch of green tint here, too). Give it a swirl and you’ll love the big, ripe, aromas of peach, apricot and orange blossom that really scream “Summer!” even on a cool, cloudy, day. And then your first sip fills your mouth with zesty orange citrus fruit, mid-summer peach, and a hint of something floral lifted by a very light prickle of CO2. The ripe, fresh, fruit flavors pick up a hint of just squeezed lime as salty, stony, selzer-like minerality comes up on the mouthwatering finish. It’s delightfully delicious. - Palazzone Orvieto Classico Vignarco 2015 Product #31231 (In Stock)
-
-
We've featured Palazzone's other Orvietos before, but this year it was the Classico that really grabbed our attention. It's a traditional blend of 50% Procanico, 30% Grechetto and dollops of Verdello, Drupeggio and Malvasia that comes together to deliver boatloads of classic Orvieto character. What's that, you ask? Try aromas and flavors of bright, fresh, sweet lemon juice with a twist of fennel frond and squeeze of honeysuckle. Not a "light, crisp, neutral" Italian white, this sports big flavors and a rich, mouth-coating, texture and a long, mouthwatering, finish of lemon oil, honeysuckle, and mineral flavors lingering nicely. There's enough body and interest and fruit to make this a joy to drink solo and it will sing with salads, seafood, and cheese. A winning value that outperforms many wines at 2x the price.
- Santa Barbara Verdicchio 2016 Product #32079 (In Stock)
-
-
Another great vintage for this popular DOC Verdicchio in the traditional curvy bottle. Really bursts with dried lemon, pink grapefruit, Granny Smith apple fruit made even better by a nice dose of stony minerality and a dash of fresh herb. It glides across your palate like silk then finishes brisk and clean and fresh. Great wine for seafood and salads or just to sip. Under-priced for the quality.

From sustainablely farmed grapes, this is bursting with bold passion fruit, guava and ripe white grapefruit aromas and flavors with a gentle hint of fresh grass or herb.
