St Kilda Chardonnay Southeastern Australia 2016 Product #32033 (In Stock)
St Kilda Chardonnay Southeastern Australia 2016 St Kilda Chardonnay Southeastern Australia 2016

St. Kilda Chardonnay pretty much exacly what you hope for (but don't often get) in a fine value Chardonnay: refreshing, fruit filled, and balanced.  Take a sniff and enjoy the aromas of ripe pineapple and golden delicious apple. Take a sip and enjoy those same ripe fruit flavors along with just a hint of oak, just enough to round out the flavors and add a hint of nutty complexity; just enough to make the wine really say “Chardonnay” and not “anonymous cheap white wine.”

It finishes fresh and mouthwateringly clean, with just a touch of juicy apple flavor lingering on your palate. If you’ve got a crowd descending on your house for a Mothers’ Day, graduation, or upcoming Fathers’ Day gathering, this is a wine to stock up on a case or two. You’ll have it to pull out any time you need something to serve at a party or just crack open at the end of a long day.

Beelgara Estate Semillon Sauvignon Blanc 2016 Product #31688 (In Stock)
Beelgara Estate Semillon Sauvignon Blanc 2016 Beelgara Estate Semillon Sauvignon Blanc 2016

No one's quite sure how the Aussie's hit on the idea of importing Bordeaux's white wine recipe - blending snappy Sauv Blanc with richer, creamier, Semillon - but wines like this show why they keep on doing it.  Here 80% Semillon gives melon, stone fruit, body and wet wool complexity while the Sauvignon Blanc adds citrus, herbal notes and overall pop.  Refreshing and fun, this has plenty of body and a nice note of tangerine skin on the full and fleshy finish.

Pewsey Vale Riesling 2015 Product #30067 (In Stock)
Pewsey Vale Riesling 2015 Pewsey Vale Riesling 2015

Is this the greatest bone-dry Riesling in the world?  It's in the running, but it runs away with "best value" honors in the category and may hold the record for the most 90+ point ratings.  Intense lemon-lime, chalk, and floral herb aromas lead to a sizzling, dry, palate of yellow-green citrus, ginger, white pepper, peach, and more.  Finishes stony, long, and bone dry with a lingering touch of honeysuckle and lime zest.  Brilliant stuff.

"Very pure lemons and limes here that are concentrated, stony and fragrant. There's very pure fruit focus here, as this has the right balance of acid and texture. It's smooth, fleshy, dense, really deep and will drink early and live long."  James Suckling 95-96 points

"Ripe citrus fruits, fig, green tea and a hint of honey on the nose. Shows more roundness and heft than usual for this bottling, offering pliant orange and pear flavors and a subtle touch of honeysuckle. Finishes smooth, seamless and persistent, with a building mineral note and repeating orchard fruit character." Vinous (Raynolds) 90 points

"Starting with pronounced green apples, citrus and white pepper, the 2015 Riesling leads to some notes of coriander seed and jasmine. Light, dry, lively and fresh on the palate, this Riesling is still a little tight, but possesses some spicy hints and great length."Wine Advocate 90 points

"Apple, lemon blossom and pear flavors are lively and open-textured, showing finesse and lingering beautifully on the finish. Drink now through 2025."Wine Spectator 90 points

Torbreck Grenache Juveniles Barossa Valley 2014 Torbreck Grenache Juveniles Barossa Valley 2014

An Aussie take on Chateauneuf-du-Pape and loads of juicy fun!  A blend of Grenache, Shiraz, and Mataro (Mouvedre), Juveniles packs loads of warm raspberry, strawberry, earth, tar, and black pepper aromas and flavors but has enough crisp acidity and tannin to stay fresh.  Yes, it’s really ripe, but not hot and built to shine with Middle Eastern spices and lamb.

"Pale to medium garnet-purple colored, the 2014 Juveniles possesses a beautiful perfume of red roses, kirsch, black raspberries and cinnamon stick. Medium-bodied, softly textured and with lots of lively red berry and cherry flavors on offer in the mouth, this pure, unadulterated Grenache continues to be an absolute winner for lovers of this grape."Wine Advocate 90 points

Torbreck Woodcutter's Shiraz Barossa Valley 2015 Product #32451 (In Stock)
Torbreck Woodcutter's Shiraz Barossa Valley 2015 Torbreck Woodcutter's Shiraz Barossa Valley 2015

Rich, velvety and wonderfully smooth, this is the place to start – or re-start – your appreciation of the magic of Barossa Shiraz.  It's 100% Syrah from vineyards scattered across Barossa, all pruned, tended, and harvested by hand to ensure only the best grapes make it into the wine.  Fermented in a mix of cement, steel, and wood vats, the wine ages for 12 months in a mix of hogsheads and French oak foudres, all well-seasoned to avoid overwhelming the wine with wood.  Yes it's big, rich, and loaded with dark berry and plum fruit with classic Shiraz accents of spice and dark chocolate.  But it's also perfectly balanced and poised, a wine that's fun to drink solo but with the complexity and character needed for further aging and food.

"A beautiful expression of shiraz from Barossa with a freshness and linear length to it. Medium to full body, fine and intense. Spice and meat character is all here." James Suckling 93 points

"Plum, licorice and cigar box notes are inviting and plush, with nutmeg and cedar accents. Firms up on the finish, where a chai tea detail crescendos. Drink now through 2030."Wine Spectator 91 points

Torbreck Shiraz The Struie Barossa Valley 2015 Product #32492 (In Stock)
Torbreck Shiraz The Struie Barossa Valley 2015 Torbreck Shiraz The Struie Barossa Valley 2015

It's hard to remember that Australia's premier white wine region - Eden Valley, famous for sizzling dry Riesling - lies within the Barossa Valley.  At sites of 400-500 meters elevation, it's a great place to grow a different kind of Shiraz, one that delivers plenty of bold fruit but also a silky texture and firm structure.  The Struie blends fruit from 44 year-old Eden Valley vines with 80 year-old Barossa fruit and ages 18 months in new and used French oak.  The aromas here are exciting as is the deeply textured dark fruit.

"Lots of soy, stone, iodine and oyster shell with blue and black fruits. Full to medium body, firm and silky tannins and a juicy and long finish. The quarter of Eden gives this complexity and length. Drink now." James Suckling 95 points

"Fresh-roasted coffee, chicory and cedar notes set the stage for robust flavors of plum and cherry, accented by clove, vanilla and cola details on the finish. The tannins are thick and velvety but never get in the way of the flavors. Shiraz. Drink now through 2029. 600 cases made."Wine Spectator 92 points
