Dom Mongeard Mugneret Bourgogne Rouge 2014 Product #31594 (In Stock)
Dom Mongeard Mugneret Bourgogne Rouge 2014 Dom Mongeard Mugneret Bourgogne Rouge 2014

Burgundy's 2014 vintage gave us silky, supple, reds with lovely fruit and plenty of classic Burgundy terroir.  Here's a great example from 4.5 acres mainly in and near Vosne-Romanee. Ripe, hand-harvested, fruit is 100% destemmed, fermented in tank and then aged in twice-used French oak.  There's a very pretty perfume of tangy red cherry, raspberry, violets and a hint of something earthy - or "animal" as the winemaker says.  On the palate it's very pure and fresh and transparent with a silky feel to the tart cherry/raspberry fruit.  Stony minerality and fine tannins provide support to this very pretty, very delicious, Pinot Noir.  Drink now - 2020 or so.

Dom Mongeard Mugneret Vosne Romanee 2014 Product #31595 (In Stock)
Dom Mongeard Mugneret Vosne Romanee 2014 Dom Mongeard Mugneret Vosne Romanee 2014

There's a lot of deliciousness here and a fine velvet texture.

"The 2014 Vosne-Romanée Village comes from vines in the lieu-dit Violette and Aux Réas that are sometimes bottled separately. It has a simple, clean redcurrant and strawberry scented bouquet that would benefit from a little more intensity. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannin on the entry. I appreciate the fineness of the tannin here and the tension displayed towards the finish, a village cru that comes recommended."Wine Advocate 89 points

Dom Mongeard Mugneret Vosne Romanee 1er Cru Orveaux 2014 Product #31596 (In Stock)
Dom Mongeard Mugneret Vosne Romanee 1er Cru Orveaux 2014 Dom Mongeard Mugneret Vosne Romanee 1er Cru Orveaux 2014

Lovely 1er Cru to enjoy young if you like, but better from 2020 or so.

"The 2014 Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Les Orveaux comes from the domaine's 1.08-hectare of vines aged between 25 to 52 years that are orientated north to south. It has impressive delineation and terroir expression on the nose, quite feminine and understated at first, but unfurling in the glass to reveal attractive redcurrant, wild strawberry and cold limestone scents. The palate is medium-bodied with fine, quite firm tannin, crisp and tensile red berry fruit, and a taut, quite saline finish. This is worth seeking out - a Vosne-Romanée endowed with confidence."Wine Advocate 91 points
