Sette Ponti Oreno Toscana 2016 Product #33400 (In Stock)
Sette Ponti Oreno Toscana 2016 Sette Ponti Oreno Toscana 2016

Sette Ponti’s vineyards lie between Florence and Arezzo, and the name celebrates the seven bridges that cross the Arno between those Tuscan cities.  Originally a Chianti estate, famed consulting viticulturalist Carlo Ferrini suggested owner Antonio Moretti plant some of the Bordeaux varietals seen more often in Tuscay’s coastal Bolgheri region.  He did and called the wine Oreno. The result?  Seven Gambero Rosso Tre Bichieri awards, four times on the Wine Spectator Top 100 (#5 in 2005), and countless 95+ ratings from critics around the world.

And, Oreno is better than ever in 2016.  There’s a glorious blend of Bordeaux-like perfume and refinement, Napa-like luxurious ripeness, and a very Italian sense of food-friendly fun.  Give it a couple of hours in decanter to try now or, better, wait until 2025 and beyond.

"Gorgeous floral and deep, dark berry aromas with hints of spices such as cinnamon and hazelnuts. Full body and ultra-fine and strong tannins that are powerful yet so sleek and beautiful. Fantastic length and texture. Deep, dark and profound. Takes you on a long journey and shows you its true character. Better in 2025. Give it time."  James Suckling 99 points
