Les Grands Arbres Cabernet Sauvignon 2015 Product #33018 (In Stock)

You don't see much "Cabernet Vin De France" - but one taste of this fruit-filled value will make you thirsty for more.  Especially more made from clearly ripe and organically grown grapes, fermented cool, and aged in tank for maximum fruit flavor and freshness.  You'll find loads of dark cherry and blackcurrant fruit at the core of this juicy, easy-drinking, red with accents of herb, tobacco and cedar that evoke a bit of Bordeaux-like character. So treat it like Bordeaux if you're of a mind to and pare it with lamb or rare roast beef.  Or focus on the fleshy fruit and glug it down with a burger.  At this price, you really can't go wrong.

Dom Des Terrisses Gaillac Blanc 2016 Product #32977 (In Stock)
Dom Des Terrisses Gaillac Blanc 2016 Dom Des Terrisses Gaillac Blanc 2016

Made from the rare Loin de l’oeil grape and Mauzac grapes, this crisp and juicy white marries the structure of a top white Bordeaux with the richness and layered texture of Southern France whites.  A touch of Sauvignon Blanc brings out some grapefruit and grassy notes, and a note of Kaffir lime leaves weaves in and out of the crisp, juicy, palate.  A bright, refreshing, wine that stays balanced and interesting through the long, clean, finish.

Dolin Vermouth De Chambery Rouge 375ml Product #27792 (In Stock)
Dolin Vermouth De Chambery Rouge 375ml Dolin Vermouth De Chambery Rouge 375ml

Dolin Vermouth's are pretty much the same today as they were when first introduced in 1821.  Made from white wines and fresh and dried herbs and botanicals from Chambery, they are all complex, fresh, and just as delicious on their own as they are in a complex cocktail.

The red vermouth is frankly sweet but with plenty of bright acidity and bitter herb at the end to keep things fresh.  A touch of cherry/berry fruit and plenty of caramel, bitter herb, and exotic spices hold sway here with citrus peel and herb flavors lingering nicely.

Forty Ounce Red (Gamay) 2016 (1.0 liter) Product #32648 (In Stock)
Forty Ounce Red (Gamay) 2016 (1.0 liter) Forty Ounce Red (Gamay) 2016 (1.0 liter)

Depending on how you look at it, this throw-back 1 liter bottle (looking like a 40 oz "bomber" of malt liquor) is either really clever or really tacky.  But it's certainly a really good value in a really, really, good wine.  It's 100% Gamay from Sommelier Patrick Cappiello and winemaker Julien Brand that's loaded with ripe, plummy, fruit.  This is "fruity" the way the French do "fruity," with big aromas and flavors of just ripe strawberry and cherry and just a hint of herb for interest.  A great party red, a thirst quenching afternoon reviver, and fun for Thanksgiving, too.

Dom Lafage Grenache Cuvee Nicolas 2014 Product #32365 (In Stock)
Dom Lafage Grenache Cuvee Nicolas 2014 Dom Lafage Grenache Cuvee Nicolas 2014

"Made from 100% Grenache, the 2015 Cotes Catalanes Nicolas comes from granite and schist soils in the Roussillon and is brought up in demi-muids and barrels. This sensational wine is unquestionably one of the best values I've tasted in a long, long time. Blueberries, kirsch, chocolate and garrigue all emerge from this full-bodied, sexy, polished beauty that offers tons of fruit and texture while never seeming over the top or cumbersome. Buy a case, pretend you spent a lot more money than you actually did, and drink this knock-out red over the coming 2-3 years."Wine Advocate 92 points

Dolin Vermouth De Chambery Dry Product #27797 (In Stock)
Dolin Vermouth De Chambery Dry Dolin Vermouth De Chambery Dry

Dolin Vermouth's are pretty much the same today as they were when first introduced in 1821.  Made from white wines and fresh and dried herbs and botanicals from Chambery, they are all complex, fresh, and just as delicious on their own as they are in a complex cocktail.

The dry style vermouth shows a pure, almost sweet-smelling, nose of white wine, herbs and wormwood.  In the mouth it's pure, herbal, and very clean with just enough body and ripe fruit to impart roundness.  Finishes clean, complex, and fresh with no bitterness.  This would be a fine match with fresh pesto!

Dom De Cabidos Le Pic Blanc 2015 Product #33037 (In Stock)

Jurançon, in France's Southwest, has been famous for its sweet wines for centuries. But this crisp, easy-drinking, dry white shows not all Jurançon needs to be sweet!  It's a blend of Sauvignon, Chardonnay, and Petit Manseng with loads of ripe fruit - pineapple, peach, starfruit, lemon and lime - on the nose and palate. There's a lime soda-like feel to the zesty, zippy, finish that makes this a great refresher and match for all kinds of food.

This sweet wine from Southwestern France is made with hand-picked Tannat grapes allowed to semi-dry on the vine. The wine is rich and dense, with ample black currant and black cherry fruit framed by notes of chocolate and spice cake.  Complex and medium sweet, this would be a great match with anything made with dark chocolate.

Paul Marie & Fils Pineau Des Charentes Blanc Jep NV Product #31923 (In Stock)
Paul Marie & Fils Pineau Des Charentes Blanc Jep NV Paul Marie & Fils Pineau Des Charentes Blanc Jep NV

Just imagine taking the richest, most mouthcoating, just-pressed wine grape juice and then adding enough high-end VSOP Cognac to it to bring the alcohol up to around 17%.  Then put the blend into Cognac barrels and age it for 4 years more.  What you get is something utterly delicious, sweet and toasty with a just-right Cognac bite at the end. In Cognac they serve Pineau Des Charentes cool or cold as an aperitif or digestif, and we like it that way, too.  Keeps 3 months or so in the 'fridge.
