Blenheim Chardonnay Virginia 2014 Product #30629 (In Stock)
Blenheim Chardonnay Virginia 2014 Blenheim Chardonnay Virginia 2014

A really charming and delicious Chardonnay from just outside Charlottesville, this is all estate grown fruit aged in tank and a mix of French, American, and Hungarian oak. Punches all the Chardonnay buttons - crisp apple, ripe pear, toasted hazelnut, and just a kiss of oak - but isn't buttery or heavy at just 12.5% abv.  Finishes with fine energy and a touch of sweet spice.

Barboursville Viognier Reserve 2015 Product #32133 (In Stock)
Barboursville Viognier Reserve 2015 Barboursville Viognier Reserve 2015

"The 2015 Viognier Reserve is unoaked and comes in at 13% alcohol. This is currently available. Fresh and lively, it is exuberant in its youth, but dry and serious on the finish, despite the fine fruit and big nose. The aromatics are enticing, but the rest isn't so shabby. It is pretty fine—another reliable bottling from Barboursville that has some distinction at a nice price most of the time."Wine Advocate 90 points

Glen Manor St. Ruth Red Blend 2013 Product #31813 (In Stock)
Glen Manor St. Ruth Red Blend 2013 Glen Manor St. Ruth Red Blend 2013

Jeff White makes some of Virginia's most exciting wines including this Cab Franc-dominant Bordeaux blend from the warm 2013 harvest.  Decant or hold.

"The 2013 St. Ruth (formerly known as the T. Ruth; the name changed with this vintage) is a blend of 46% Cabernet Franc, 46% Merlot and 8% Petit Verdot, aged for 20 months in a 40/60 mixture of new and used French oak. It comes in at 14.7%. Another Big Boy from Glen Manor this issue, this is brooding, with plenty of pop and substance. The big fruit and oak mingle to create a dark and burnished feel. It never seems sweet or laced with vanilla, just stern and tight. In that last regard, the tannins show up here rather prominently eventually, but they also receded with about 90 minutes of aeration. This is not ready to drink and it could use a couple of years in the cellar--give it at least one, please--but it shows a lot of promise. It has a very Bordeaux-like feel."Wine Advocate 89 points
