Seven Falls Cabernet Sauvignon Columbia Valley 2014 Product #31569 (In Stock)
Seven Falls Cabernet Sauvignon Columbia Valley 2014 Seven Falls Cabernet Sauvignon Columbia Valley 2014

This Wahluke Falls Cab sells for $23 at the winery and comfortably outperforms that price point.  The fruit is fully ripe and rich - but not over-ripe or pruney - with generous aromas and flavors of blackcurrant, blackberry, dark raspberry and crushed herb.  A full 18 months in 53% new barrels (one-third American, two-thirds French oak) gives the wine a supple and plush mouthfeel and loads of cocoa, vanilla, and rich sweet spice notes.  The finish is remarkably long for a $20-$30 bottling, with layered currant, berry, cocoa and spice flavors flowing out over fine-grained tannins that melt away gently.  A great choice to pair up with roast beef, grilled lamb, or roasted vegetable dishes or to just pop and pour at a big celebration.  A lot of wine for the money!

Abeja Cabernet Sauvignon 2012 Product #31691 (In Stock)
Abeja Cabernet Sauvignon 2012 Abeja Cabernet Sauvignon 2012

"Complex aromas of blueberry, blackberry, bitter chocolate, leather, licorice and violet reminded me a bit of top Mendoza Malbec. Suave and seamless in the mouth, with insinuating dark berry, licorice and spice flavors filling the mouth without showing any heaviness. Finishes dry and long, with fully integrated tannins. This fine-grained Cabernet is deceptively approachable now but should age gracefully."  Vinous (Raynolds) 92 points

"The 2012 Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is brilliant. A blend of 84% Cabernet Sauvignon, 14% Merlot and the rest Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, aged 23 months in 60% new French oak, it boasts classic Cabernet notes of dark currants, crushed rock, bouquet garni and earth. This is followed by a medium to full-bodied wine that has good concentration, nicely integrated acidity and tons of character. Like a lot of 2012s, there’s enough texture and fruit here to keep it enjoyable, but it will also age beautifully. Drink 2017-2032."Wine Advocate 91 points

"Broad and open-textured, with nubby tannins around a focused core of black cherry, roasted meat and sage flavors, picking up a chocolate note as the finish lingers. Drink now through 2020. 2,946 cases made."Wine Spectator 91 points

Quilceda Creek Cabernet Sauvignon 2014 Product #31827 (In Stock)
Quilceda Creek Cabernet Sauvignon 2014 Quilceda Creek Cabernet Sauvignon 2014

We won't have the chance to sample Quilceda Creek's 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon until this Friday (join us from 3-7pm and try it yourself!), but we're confident it will be at least as outstanding as the 99 point 2013 edition.  It's 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from three top Columbia Valley vineyards:  Champoux, Palengat and Wallula Gap.  Aged for 20 months in new French oak, it always has the power to cellar for 20 years and the supple fleshiness to impress young.

Here are winemaker Paul Golitzin's notes:  "The 2014 growing season started with early heat and vine development. High heat throughout the summer and promoted vine stress, with final ripening occurring in late September and October under ideal conditions. The 2014 Quilceda Creek Cabernet Sauvignon Columbia Valley is an absolutely amazing wine. Packed to the brim with floral aromas and flavors of blackberry, blueberry, black cherry and plum fruit intertwine with nuances of cacao nib, anise, soy, forest floor and minerals. Incredibly pure and complex, this richly textured wine is totally seamless in all of its parts, allowing for its silky texture to shine through on the palate with a finish that last for minutes. Drink now – 2036."
