One sniff, one taste, and you’ll know right away:  this could only be a classic, outstanding, Brunello di Montalcino!  Even on first pour, the aromas are complex and deep:  dark red raspberry, truffle, fragrant violet and more.  In your mouth it’s a stunning blend of silk and power, with a rich, supple, mouthfeel through the middle before ripe, fine, tannins emerge.  The dark cherry/berry fruit is tightly coiled now, but still delightful, as are the accents of black truffle and aged balsamic.  Finishes chalky and very long, promising lots of growth in the cellar but feel free to decant a bottle and drink with a veal chop tonight!

"Plenty of black-truffle and berry character on the nose. Full body, a silky texture and bright acidity follow through to a subtle and satisfying finish. Hints of orange peel make it all the more attractive. Drink or hold."  James Suckling 93 points

"Tasted blind. Deep ruby. Firm and exciting nose with quite a bit of power behind it. Ripe palate with muscular tannins and really opens up on the palate. Deserves much more time."  Jancis Robinson 17/20 points

"This is very Burgundian in style, with effusive cherry, strawberry and floral aromas and flavors riding a supple texture until the characteristic Sangiovese tannins emerge on the finish. Elegant, complex and long overall. Best from 2021 through 2035. 2,000 cases made."Wine Spectator 96 points
